1. Closing Soon: Philly Wine Week

When: Various locations

Philly Wine Week continues to roll through Sunday, April 7th. There will be wine happy hours, pairing events, and more over the next few days. High Street on Market will be hosting a meat and cheese pairing with Maple Spring Wines this Friday. The fifth annual Philly Wine Week BBQ at American Sardine Bar will take place this Sunday. Jet Wine Bar, Philadelphia’s “global vineyard”, will also be continuing its themed events and parties every day through Sunday.

2. Closing Soon: Kate The Unexamined Life at Walnut Street Theatre 

Where: Walnut Street Theatre, 825 Walnut St.
When: Runs through Sunday, April 7th

The Walnut Street Theatre has been displaying the poignant life of Katharine Hepburn to the stage for over a month. Kate The Unexamined Life, takes you to New Year’s Eve 1999. Hepburn is 92 and ponderings all the facets of life. Stop by this phenomenal theater before it’s too late.

3. Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival

The third annual Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival begins today and runs through this Sunday. The festival invokes the medium of film to propel the narrative for the wellness of the globe. There will be several movie screenings, discussions, panels, Q&As, and more.

4. Philly Celebrates Jazz Events this Weekend

Philly Celebrates Jazz will have several events blossoming throughout the city this weekend. Southern-inspired eatery SOUTH will feature performances by award-winning jazz vocalist Champian Fulton this Friday and Saturday. Come to Chris’ Jazz Cafe this Saturday to hear pianist James Santangelo.

5. The Philadelphia Orchestra Presents Romeo and Juliet

Where: The Kimmel Center, 300 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Saturday, April 6th

The Philadelphia Orchestra has a collection of some of the most talented musicians around. This week the brilliant assembly will be performing Prokofiev’s three suites from Romeo and Juliet. The performance will be highlighted by selected vignettes from the Philadelphia-based choreographer Brian Sanders.

6. Pennsylvania Ballet Spring Showcase

When: Runs through Sunday, April 7th

Igor Stravinsky’s work will be brought to life like no other this weekend when the phenomenal talents of the Pennsylvania Ballet unfold for this spring showcase. George Balanchine’s Apollo and Stravinsky Violin Concerto will highlight the celebratory lineup of this 20th and 21st century’s famed composer’s works.

7. Sensory-friendly Weekend Events

Several of Philadelphia’s historic, famed, and popular landmarks and institutions have great awareness for individuals on the spectrum. This weekend stop by the  Elmwood Park Zoo, The Academy of Natural Sciences, and Adventure Aquarium for sensory-friendly programming in a calming, comfortable environment over the weekend.

8. Center City District Fountain Spring Returns

Where: Various locations Dilworth Park, 1 S. 15th Street
When: Through the season

Center City District’s Spring and Summer events are beginning to emerge on the calendar. Dilworth Park, Sister Cities Park, John F. Collins Park, and Cret Park will soon be booming with lively gatherings. The colorful fountain Pulse at Dilworth Park is now brightening up the area.

9. Philadelphia Fine Arts Fair

This weekend marks the first annual Philadelphia Fine Art Fair. This beautifully curated art collective will feature pieces from 35 galleries and by 300 artists. This premier and immersive gallery-centric fine arts fair will place a spotlight on contemporary and modern works.

10. Old City First Friday

Each First Friday of the month Old City opens its galleries and studios for a little fun. Several participating spaces will have painting collection, wood workings, sculptures, furniture, metal works, and more all throughout several buildings. Pentimenti Gallery, Petit Jardin en Ville, and other hotspots are all participating.

11. Frankford Ave First Fridays

Fishtown will be surging with art, culture, food, bar festivities and more. April’s First Friday! will feature special Happy Hours, a dance party at The Barbary, a flower pop up, a skating-themed art show, and several other activities.

12. Midnight Movie: The Room

The cult hit The Room will be featured this Friday night at the Ritz at The Bourse. The Midnight Movie series welcomes this “Disaster Artist” production back to the big screen again. Actor, director, and screenwriter Tommy Wiseau will be in attendance.

13. Art Museum Final Fridays

The Philadelphia Museum of Art hosts happy hour events each week. The Final Fridays series always features great live music, cocktails, gallery access, and more. This weekend singer-songwriter Samantha Rise will be wowing the museum audience with her talents.

14. World Cafe Live Friday Nights

When: Friday, April 5th 8PM (Emily King ) and 9PM (Havana Nights)

World Cafe Live will be hosting their recurring series Havana Nights this Friday. There will be live salsa music played by Conjunto Philadelphia, dancing, food, and beverages. At the same venue, soul singer Emily King will be performing in support of her latest album Scenery. This talented vocalist and artist will be a can’t miss performer in the city this weekend.

15. Tori Kelly

Speaking of signature vocals, one of the best young talents in music will be coming to The Fillmore Philadelphia this Friday night. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will be touting her latest release Hiding Place. This acoustic tour will certainly provide a memorable experience.

16. Fleetwood  Mac

17. Creatures of Habitat at the Philadelphia Zoo

Animals and LEGOs are a match made in heaven. The Philadelphia Zoo astoundingly agrees. Creatures of Habitat is a fun and informative new exhibit showing the impact of global change. You’ll learn about endangered wildlife and lessons to save these beloved creatures.

18. Philly Spring Cleanup

The 12th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup is this Saturday. This city-wide endeavor gets family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and more involved in local cleanups each year. The massive eco-friendly day springs up events all over the city each year. Don’t miss your chance to register and get active.

19. Philadelphia Kite Festival

The 6th Annual Philadelphia Kite Festival takes over Penn Treaty Park this Saturday. Attendees of all ages and duel it out in kite-flying competitions at the park. There will also be live music, entertainment, kite-making classes, food trucks, and more.

20. Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia

When: Saturday, April 6th-Sunday, April 14th

The 2019 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia starts Saturday. There will be a tea ceremony, plenty of karate demonstrations, calligraphy expos, music, dancers, and several other cultural displays. Please come to this tremendous celebration of tradition.

21. Rough Necks vs. Wings

Philadelphia Wings vs. Calgary Roughnecks

Professional lacrosse is one of the premier indoor activities to watch in the city. The Philadelphia Wings will be home and facing off against the Calgary Roughnecks this Saturday afternoon. The Wells Fargo Center will be rocking yet again, as the Wings look to get another win.

21. FC Dallas vs. Union

Speaking of sporting events, the Philadelphia Union will be back at home this weekend taking on FC Dallas. This Saturday night, Talen Energy Stadium will be rocking. The Philly club has won two matches in a row and is primed to keep the win streak rolling.

23. Flames vs. Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers will be hosting the Carolina Hurricanes this Saturday night. This Eastern Conference matchup will be the last game of the season for the Flyers. Bring all the cheers and screams for this clash on the ice one last time this season.

XPN Welcomes Amos Lee

Philadelphia native and resident Amos Lee will be performing at The Met Philadelphia this Saturday night. Backed by the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, this singer-songwriter has released six solo studio albums. Come out to this historic venue to be serenaded by this talented act.

25. Museum Sundays

Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy and Barnes Foundation, 2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
When: Sunday, April 7th, 10AM-5PM

The Philadelphia Museum of Art will be pay-what-you-wish this Sunday. Stop by its Poetry Party this weekend. There will be arts and crafts, poetry creation, and several other wordplay-centric activities. The Barnes will host its PECO Free First Sunday Family Day: African Traditions program. There will be a storytelling through art session, an open studio artist connect with painter Jonathan D. Pinkett, a performance by the Kulu Mele African Dance & Drum Ensemble, and more.


26. Clover Market

27. The Unconventional Wellness Festival

The Unconventional Wellness Festival

Where: The Met Philadelphia, 858 N. Broad St.
When: Sunday, April 7th, 12PM

The list returns to The Met Philadelphia for some fitness and fun. The Unconventional Wellness Festival is this Sunday afternoon. There will be everything at this pop up from an alpaca photobooth, to wellness vendors, to instructors. 90’s music yoga, a stress-management seminar, and more will be filling the itinerary of amazing events.

28. Muse


Where: Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St.
When: Sunday, April 7th, 7:30PM

Muse will be filling the Wells Fargo Center with the sounds of the Simulation Tour this Sunday night. The British rockers will be opened my SWMRS. The theatrics, pyrotechnics, high-energy, laser, and color display will be full throttle at this show.
