Philly Tech Week will be ending this Friday. The demonstrations, panels, exhibitions, and more will be coming to an end. This Friday there will be a Philly Tech Week Signature Event official after party at Franky Bradley’s. Don’t miss out on all the festivities.

2. Festival of Fountains at Longwood Gardens
Where: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Rd. Kennett Square
When: Runs through Sunday, September 29th
Longwood Gardens Festival of Fountains returns for the season this weekend. The marvelous and scenic garden terrain will be overflowing with water lily displays, a meadow garden, and more. Throughout the months there will be live music, crafts, family-friendly, fireworks, and other events.

3. Civil War and Reconstruction at the National Constitution Center
Where: National Constitution Center, 525 Arch St.
When: Opened Wednesday, May 8th
Civil War and Reconstruction: The Battle for Freedom and Equality opened this week at the National Constitution Center. The exhibit highlights Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman, and other figures of the era. Come hear the inspiring stories and learn the American experience under slavery, “the battle for freedom during the Civil War, and the fight for equality during Reconstruction, which many call the nation’s “Second Founding.”

4. DGV, Trigger Touch Fade, and Glass Pieces
Where: Academy of Music, 240 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, May 12th
The Pennsylvania Ballet will be putting on a performance of DGV, Trigger Touch Fade, and Glass Pieces this weekend. The final program of the season will be running through Sunday at the Academy of Music. Choreographer Jorma Elo’s will be premiering Trigger Touch Fade.

5. Young Professionals Night
Where: Barnes Foundation, 2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
When: Friday, May 10th, 7PM-10PM
This Friday night bring your friends to the Barnes Foundation for Young Professionals Night: Spot On. #BarnesYP will be spotlighting and is inspired by pointillism pioneer Georges Seurat. Come out in your best and fun polka dot prints for a night of “sips, late-night art, and beats by Mole Street Artists.”

6. Annual Student Exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
Where: Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 128 N. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, June 2nd
This weekend kicks off the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts’ The 117th Annual Student Exhibition (ASE). The institution’s BFA, third and fourth-year undergraduates, and second-year MFA students works will be on full display. There is an opening reception on Friday to meet artists and get sneak peeks at some phenomenal work.

7. Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta
Where: Along Kelly Drive; races start at Hunting Park Avenue and end at the Columbia Avenue Bridge
When: Friday, May 10th-Saturday, May 11th
The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta will be taking over Kelly Drive this weekend. Hundreds of universities from around the country and Canada will be rowing the Schuylkill River. Come see these amazing athletes thunderous speed through the course and cheer them on.

8. Spruce Street Harbor Park

When: Opens for the season Friday, May 10th
Sustained by UNIVEST, Spruce Street Harbor Park opens this Friday. The beautiful summer gathering hotspot has hammocks, floating gardens, stellar and colorful lights, craft beer stands, and plenty of food from the area’s top restaurants. This weekend, look out for UNIVESTal. The festival will be full of live music performances, crafts, art displays, and more.

9. Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest
Where: 101 S Christopher Columbus Blvd.
When: Opens for the season Friday, May 10th
The Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest kicks into full swing this Friday. There will be roller skating, the return of the carnival game area The Midway, mini golf, Chickie’s and Pete’s Crabshack, and the Franklin Fountain Cabin. Come out for the drinks, the waterfront splendor, and more.

10. 2nd Saturday Street Art Tours

When: Saturday, May 11th
Streets Dept’s 2nd Saturday Street Art Tours returned for the 2019 season last month. Every second Saturday Conrad Benner will be hosting a walking tour of Philadelphia’s most stunning street art, murals, and graffiti. This will be an immersive and informative tour full of colorful designs and great conversation.

11. Rittenhouse Square Fine Craft Fair
Where: Rittenhouse Square, 210 W. Rittenhouse Square

The Rittenhouse Square Craft Fair will be opening this Friday. The downtown festivity space will have many vendors peddling paintings, jewelry, antiques, handmade soaps, candles, furnishings, and more. This will be a bustling vendors hub full of collectibles and plenty of goods.

12. Treetop Quest

Fairmount Park’s zip line adventure is finally here. Treetop Quest will raise you 60 feet above the ground in some areas and launch you into a fun day great obstacle courses, soaring heights, and plenty of fun activities.

13. Love Your Park Week
Where: Various locations
When: Saturday, May 11th- Sunday, May 19th
There will be over 40 special events going on throughout the city over the next week. Each year several of Philadelphia’s parks host clean-ups and work days. This beautification event fosters community engagements and helps maintain public spaces. There will be countless family-friendly events and recreational activities at each location. Saturday there will be a potluck dinner at Bardascino Park. On the same day, McMichael Park will host a screening of Moana.

14. Second Saturday Season Opener at Historic Germantown

When: Saturday, May 11th, 12PM – 4PM
This weekend kicks off Second Saturday celebrations in Historic Germantown. For one-day-a-month Germantown will open the doors to all 16 of its historic houses, museums, and destinations. There will be historical re-enactors, giveaways, free food, performances, vendors and more.

15. Empire vs. Soul

16. Philadelphia Federal Credit Union Kensington Derby and Arts Festival
Where: Along Trenton Avenue between Norris Street and York Street

17. May Fair

Come to Clark Park this Saturday for Spruce Hill’s 61st annual May Fair. There will be a petting zoo and moon bounce, live music, food, a raffle drawing with tons of prizes contributed by local businesses. 18. Philly All-Star Craft Beer, Wine and Cocktail Festival

20. Spring Art Star Craft Bazaar at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing

22. Zara Larsson

Music lovers come to Union Transfer this Sunday to see and hear Swedish hitmaker Zara Larsson. Astrid S will be the opening act for this leg of the Don’t Worry Bout Me Tour. The “Ruin My Life” songstress will be delivering killer vocals and her signature stage presence to plenty of Philadelphia fans.
