1. Phillies Weekend
Where: Citizens Bank Park | 1 Citizens Bank Way

The Philadelphia Phillies will be taking on the Boston Redsocks in a two-game series this weekend. Come out to the ballpark on Saturday and Sunday for 7 p.m. & 1 p.m. game times for all the action. The Phillies need all the support they can as they try to crawl back into wildcard position.

2. Fringe Festival Continues

The Fringe Festival will be continuing this weekend. Don’t miss your opportunity to catch some stellar artistic performances across the city. These contemporary works will be a sight to behold. Free Fringe Philly is also this weekend. The new initiative gears to make the enjoyments of art accessible to all. The endeavor promotes free performing-arts shows taking place during the festival.

3. Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show

The Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Show is in its 92nd year. This weekend the outdoor art collective will be one the most collaborative events in the city. Come see all the tremendously gifted artists as they display their work across several mediums.

4. Parks on Tap
Where: Penn Treaty Park | 1301 N Beach St

Parks on Tap will be at Penn Treaty Park this week. There will be a free yoga class with Roots2Rise this Thursday and a free concert on Saturday. The fall ringing in concert will have live music, carnival-style games, face painting, a balloon animal maker, and more.

5. Grease

The classic hit and ageless wonder Grease will be screened at Dilworth Park this Friday. The free screening is a part of the Summer Pictures in the Park series. The first 100 people will receive free popcorn thanks to TD Bank. Bring a blanket and some friends out for a night of action and entertainment.

6. Punch Line Philly Weekend

7. Outlaw Music Festival

The Outlaw Music Festival will be another musical event that will take over The Mann Center this weekend. 8. Judah & The Lion

10. HRTS in the Park

When: Saturday, September 14, | 12 p.m.- 2 p.m.
This Saturday, Philadelphia upcycle artist Eazy Denim will be hosting a free HRTS in the Park art class in LOVE Park. The HRTS in the Park painting experience is intended to bring the Philadelphia community together by providing an outlet for children to freely express their creativity. Using his knowledge of art, artist Eazy Denim will guide and assist participants throughout the two-hour art extravaganza. HRTS in the Park is a free children’s painting experience and is limited to 50 participants. Attendees will be provided art supplies and HRT pins to decorate, free of charge.

11. Macy’s Family Fun Day

The waning days of Summer always have us looking towards the fall. Hoodie and spiced latte season will be soon upon us. Another thing that comes to mind during the changing seasons is pumpkins. 13. Maryland vs Temple

14. Asian Americans United’s Mid-Autumn Festival

Asian Americans United presents the Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival. This annual event will be front and center this weekend. 16. Clay Fest & Storage from the Studio

The 5th Annual Clay Fest is this Saturday at The Clay Studio. Come join them for free hands-on activities for all ages, wheel throwing, a group sculpture extravaganza, artist demonstrations, an ice cream social, T-shirt making and more. Additionally, Storage from Studio is opening this Saturday. This is an amazing collaboration created by 14 current and former Resident Artists from The Clay Studio. 18. Home on Our Back: the Poetics of Diaspora

Speaking of community, Home on Our Back: the Poetics of Diaspora will be a celebrated event at the Parkway Central Library this Saturday night. A collaboration between Boston Poet Laureate Porsha Olayiwolaand Philadelphia Poet Laureate Raquel Salas Rivera, this event navigates how “migrations have shaped East Coast cities.” There will talented poets and performers all night long.
