1. Closing Soon: Marvel

The Franklin Institute’s immersive exhibition, Marvel, will come to a close next week. This will be the last weekend to catch weekend this amazing showcase that features “life-size scenes straight from the comic world”, concept sketches, artwork, props, interactive designs, and plenty more exciting activities.

2. Mural Arts Tours

Philadelphia has been called the “mural capital of the world.” With new stunning pieces unfolding in almost every corner, you may want the opportunity to hear the story behind the concepts and artists themselves. Mural Arts provides fun vehicle tours, city walking tours, train, segway, bike, and private group tours to enhance your experience and to gain in-depth knowledge about these phenomenal murals blossoming throughout the city. Over 45 new artworks have been added along tour routes. This is a great season to discover the wonder that the mural in the city has to offer.

3. Free Neighborhood Days
Where: The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University | 1900 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University is rolling out the welcome mat to more than 204,000 West Philadelphia and Southwest Center City residents this September with an offer of free weekend admission. Free Neighborhood Days offers people who live in 19104, 19139, 19143 and 19146, free access to the museum. To participate in the Academy’s special free-admission offer, residents need only bring proof of residence showing their zip code or a Free Neighborhood Days postcard. Students must bring their last report card or student ID showing their zip code. Each household may receive up to four complimentary tickets.

4. Fringe Festival

For almost the entire month of September, FringeArts’ Fringe Festival will be one of the main cultural and artistic events in the city each week. There will be dramatic preferences, discussions, dance displays, cabarets, musicals, sketches, comedic productions, and more.

5. Young Frankenstein

The Walnut Street Theatre will be hosting the wild and zany Young Frankenstein on several occasions through next month. The celebrated Brooks and Meehan musical, based on the hit film, features laughs and great fun. Don’t hesitate to come out for productions featuring talented and skilled actors.

6. AGAMA, Festival of Indian Classical Arts

7. Philadelphia Honey Festival

11. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Dilworth Park’s Pictures in the Park will screen Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle this Friday night. The adventure project stars The Rock, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, and others. 17. Family Football Funday

20. Goose Island Beer Co.’s 215 Block Party
