Oskar Lindblom will miss the rest of the season on the ice after being diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare cancer in the bones or in the tissue around them. But that’s not keeping him away from his team. On Friday, Lindblom, who has been undergoing treatment at the University of Penn, met with the team after practice.
And Saturday night, he was in attendance at the Wells Fargo Center for the Flyers’ Eastern Conference showdown against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He received a raucous ovation, deservedly so.
