“We’re all in, we’re here, and we’re happy”: Watch Al Horford search for housing in Philly

Philadelphia 76ers star offseason acquisition, Al Horford, had a lot to get used to when coming to Philadelphia. Horford’s entrance into the City of Brotherly Love placed him with a new team, coaching staff, and metropolitan landscape. One of the most daunting tasks about coming to a new city is finding a place to reside. To help the All-Star forward, Horford linked up with star realtor Marie Henderson for a “Making Moves” segment with Uninterrupted. The mother of regional native and former Duke Blue Devil’s star Gerald Henderson Jr. is a member of the National Association of Realtors. In the video, she walked Horford around a promising Center City loft.

“Moving to Philly had been exciting. It wasn’t easy for us, finding that ideal spot.”, Horford noted. After seeing homes on the Mainline, Horford chose a residence that placed him in orbit of the Sixers’ practice facility with a fantastic view. Henderson noted the importance of having Horford’s housing resolved, “If training camp is starting at a certain time, they need to be in the place before training camp starts and have their families settled. ”

Horford went on to explain his excitement:

“If we wanted to be in the middle of everything, we can literally walk to museums, walk to parks, this is like the first real experience to me…We do want to make this feel like a home and just dive into the community here…really get into it and get a feeling for Philadelphia. We don’t want it to feel like we’re one foot in and one foot out. We’re all in, we’re here, and we’re happy.”
