I joined Friday’s Daily Ticket with Sean Brace on Fox Sports The Gambler to discuss the latest Dark Side of the Ring episode which focused on the tragic death of Owen Hart. Back on May 23, 1999, Hart fell to his death from the ceiling of Kansas City, Missouri’s Kemper Arena, and I was just an 8th grader who didn’t know much about life at that point. It was the very first time I ever felt goosebumps when Jim Ross announced to the viewing audience that Hart died.
In this week’s Dark Side of the Ring season finale, Martha Hart, Owen’s wife, and her children discussed publicly for the first time his death and what they’d been through. It came away giving us a glimpse of exactly what Martha’s thinking was and the decisions she made for herself and her family. Jon Jansen (@jjansen34) and I talked about that, memories of Owen, the night of his death and more in this interview, which you can hear in its entirety below.
