Shooters Radio: WWF Raw Bowl ’96 deep dive

The very first, and last [to this point] WWF Raw Bowl took place on January 1, 1996, and this week, WE’RE DIVING DEEP INTO IT, BABY!

The college football-themed broadcast featured a four-team elimination match, but with a huge flavor of football added to the mix. Puns galore on commentary from Vince McMahon and Jerry “The King” Lawler, Earl Hebner dressed as an NFL referee, the ring canvas painted green with chalk lines as to mimic a football field, and each individual wrestler wearing a colored mesh shirt to really drive home the fact that this is a football wrestling match. Or something.

LET’S HAVE FUN!
