Yesterday the Flyers suffered a tough loss to the the Penguins 4-1. They came out flat in a very important game in their quest to make the playoffs. Unfortunately, it’s not their only loss of the weekend. Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that goalie Michal Neuvirth will be out of action for three weeks due to a lower body injury.
The team also announced that they’ve recalled goaltender Anthony Stolarz from the Phantoms on emergency conditions. Neuvirth has a 17-8-4 record with the Flyers through 31 games. He has a a 2.28 goals-against average.

After yesterday’s loss, the Flyers dropped to 34-24 on the season. They’ll look to regroup on Monday night at the Barclays Center when they take on the New York Islanders.
