Bring on the sunshine! This weekend’s weather calls for clear skies with temperatures in the upper 60s creeping into the 70s. So get out there and go for a bike ride, have a beer outside wherever, or go for a walk along Kelly Drive. In the midst of all that, here’s a few events to mark on your calendar!
Get Lucid! Activist Dance Party for W/N W/N, a workers co-op

Friday, April 15th – 8 P.M.
W/N W/N, a coffee bar (yes, they have coffee and alcohol depending on your mood) located at 10th and Spring Garden is hosting a fundraising dance party at Ruba Club. If you are a social activist or interested in what that means, there will be materials from a range of social justice organizations. Featuring art exhibitions and live music, this event will most certainly be a “W/N W/N”.

Panorama Opening Party!

Panorama is an artist collective opening in Southwest Philly. This Friday they will be hosting a dance party complete with snacks, beverages, games and music by DJ Ross of Love. This is a free event with suggested donations ranging $5-$10.

Brought to you by Philadelphia Flea Markets, Headhouse Square will feature a range of antique and vintage vendors within a two block radius. Cooper River Rye Whiskey – Launch Celebration!

Cooper River’s Rye Whiskey has been patiently aging for over a year and has officially been bottled. To celebrate, the distillery is throwing a launch party. What better way to enjoy a sunny Saturday afternoon, then by sipping on some whiskey cocktails and food from Black Eyed Susan’s Breakfast and Lunch. Live music will be provided by The River Bones & Anderson’s Six Mile Cross.

With the temperature in the 70s, this will be the perfect day to check out the Horticultural Center in Fairmount. While you are there, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about Japanese traditions! Sakura Sunday, an outdoor celebration of the Japanese culture, will include live music and dance performances, martial arts, arts and crafts, karaoke and more.
