Pardon Me As I Speak Candid About a Few Things

For the last 7 years of my life, radio/broadcasting was apart of my day to day scheduling. Yes, it started as my dream job, but it grew into a full blown love affair. The studio was my second home, only much dirtier and the neighbors were way cooler. Nick, Matt, Casey, Marissa, fucking Preston and Steve. Ray Koob, Andre Gardner, Tony Harris, Marilyn, Toni, Kareem, all of Mangia, god damn Miss Cho(?) where its the strangest little corner store out there. Shit, I’ll even miss Professor Klump, who used to bust my stones everyday about parking out front. (Yeah it was in the hour space but it was raining!) All that, I will miss. But just like the end of every broken relationship, it sucks and you have to learn and move on. And that’s what I’m doing here. Broadcasting will never be taken away from me again, that I know. Why, because in the last 7 years I’ve learned I love broadcasting/performing. The moving on is what I’m doing here at PhillyInfluencer.com.

Yesterday I recorded a podcast with Smitty from Philly Barstool Sports.(Available at 7AM). We talked about a few things… Chip Kelly and the 2015 Eagles. Marriage and how one picks out his shore point, on top of a few other things. It felt so good to get back after it, and it also felt different. I guess it felt different because this is mine. Only, its not just mine…

I want to thank you for your support all these years. Its because of you I believe in myself and will continue to perform. There’s a lot of good supporters out there. PhillyInfluencer is for you.

As a fan of yours from as far back as producing Vai and Gonzo, I can truly say that I have enjoyed the enthusiasm and passion you’ve brought to sports talk over the past 7 years. I listened as you grew from a producer to a part time on air personality, to a bigger than life midday host. While I didn’t always agree with your points, I respected the hell out of your confidence in your opinions, your honesty, and your overall passion for Philly, its sports teams, and most importantly, its fans. No other radio station that I have ever listened to interacted so well with its fan base than the ones you hosted. I felt like my Tweets, although usually dumb and pointless, were read on air almost every single day. That meant the world. Hearing my favorite host say my name and material on-air was like getting a high five right through the radio. I also had the pleasure of meeting you in person at many remotes (mainly Eagles pep rallies). I can honestly say that you are one of the most humble, down to earth, good guys that I have ever met. Never once did you belittle your fans, nor did you take yourself too seriously. You had fun and you included the fans in the fun at every possible second. For this Brace, I thank you. Your fans thank you. I/We will continue to follow your work and wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Stay focused, keep at it, and never underestimate the crowd following behind you! Cheers!!!

Man, I was so disappointed when the mid day show changed. I used to listen to the 2pm show a lot more often, but you and your co-host were awesome together and I really enjoyed listening to you guys. You two were great to your fans, had good points, and kept relevant to the topic while still finding ways to get current events in that wasn’t sports related. I truly related to you and your show and miss you on the air. Honestly, i’ve tried tuning back in but can’t listen anymore. Ever since your show changed, I havent tuned back in since.

You did great work Mr. Brace and wish you luck in the future.

Sean, I have to tell you that I STILL MISS YOUR SHOW!!! The two of you had great chemistry and a wonderful sense of humor. Your show had a great rhythm and balance of sports talk, current events, callers, and humor. You were funny without being crude, which I really appreciated. The 12-2 time slot was by far my favorite time to listen to the radio. Now I just find myself putting the radio on, flipping channels, feeling disappointed, and turning it off. Makes for loooong summer days. I really hope you’re back on SOON. 🙂
