1. It Sounds Crazy – Black History Month Edition
Where: Good Good Comedy Theater, 215 N 11th St. (11th and Race)
When: Thursday, February 16th, 8:30PM
Tonight, stand-up comic Chanel Ali is hosting a comedy show featuring the likes of Brian Isley, Elsa Waithe, Courtney Reynolds and Kerry Coddett. Ali and the others will be discussing current topics and unbelievable true stories that sound too crazy to be real. With games, stand-up and audience participation, this show offers big laughs and big revelations.

2. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Out of This World
Where: Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St.
When: Thursday, February 16th-Monday, February 20th, various times daily
The Ringling Brothers brings family fun and show-stopping entertainment to the Wells Fargo Center. For the next five days this futuristic spectacle will be a main attraction in Philadelphia. The space and celestial theme of the circus will be a treat for all in attendance. Your family will watch as the quest to find the best circus in the galaxy becomes the mission of the ringleaders. The stage will come to life as acrobats, glorious animals, clowns, and more all navigate the show’s new feature; ice.

3. Open Studio Night
Where: Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, 118 N. Broad St.
When: Friday, February 17th, 5PM-9PM
The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) will be hosting one of the most highly anticipated night’s in the institution’s calendar year. PAFA graduate and undergraduate students will have the opportunity to discuss their work and open their studios. They will go over the progression of their pieces and give visitors a chance to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at their creative process. Last year’s event drew over 1,600 people into the 200 private studios within the academy. There will also be an after party. Come see the pristine paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and more.

4. Dominique
Where: Punch Line Philly, 33 E Laurel St.
When: Friday, February 17th 8PM & 10:15PM, Saturday February 18th, 7:30PM & 9:45PM, and Sunday February 19th, 7:30PM
Known Comedienne Dominique will be the main attraction at Punch Line Philly. She’s performed at several comedy clubs across the country and has been featured on several television productions. Dominique has made appearances on “Chappelle’s Show”, “HBO’s Def Comedy Jam”, “Comic Groove”, “Comic View”, “Showtime at the Apollo”, and more. She will surely bring her raw energy, hilarious jokes, and sharp bravado to the city this weekend.

5. Philly Pop Up Art Exhibit
Where: Indigo Bleu Design Concepts, 3870 Lancaster Ave.
When: Friday, February 17th, 7PM-11PM
Back for its 14th year, the Philly Art Collective brings this pop up soiree to the city. Presented by Martell Oliver, this event is continually Philadelphia’s grandest pop up art exhibit each year. There will be several local talented creators on full display at this event. If you get early bird-bird tickets the price will be door for $10. Guest can also pay $15 with not ticket. There will a multitude of prints, garments, paintings, sketches, and other collectibles showcased.

6. Reading Terminal Black History Month
Where: Reading Terminal Market, 51 N. 12th St.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 10AM-2PM
The Reading Terminal Market will be celebrating the cultural richness of Black History Month. The market will fill your day with an extensive event centered on the month-long holiday. There will be a dance performance by a young troupe named Demented Evolution, a cooking demonstration, a healthy cooking discussion, an urban health information table, and so much more. Live music by Weez the Peeples Music will end the festivities. This is a free event that’s open to the public.

7. ZOLOCON Comic and Toy Expo
Where: 780 Falcon Circle. Warminster, PA
When: Saturday, February 18th, 9AM-4PM
This massive and amazing comic and toy expo takes over the region this Saturday. Come to ZOLOCON in Bucks County to see retro pieces, vintage and new-age toys, comics from various eras, and several collectibles. There will some local breakthrough comic artists in attendance as well. This event bridges toys and comic lovers under one roof and gives several vendors and artists an opportunity to unveil the collections they’ve amassed over the years. Tickets are $8 at the door.

8. Manayunk Mummers Mardi Gras Parade
Where: 4312 Main St.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 11AM-6PM
The Mummers Philadelphia String Band will be parading down Main Street this Saturday. This family -friendly Mardi Gras celebration will be bursting with excitement. There will be several performances by the The Mummers as their glorious processional will fill the atmosphere with Mardi Gras horns and sensational costumes. Starting at Shurs Lane, this event will have all the pageantry of Mummers tradition. Attendees are encouraged to visit any of the nearby restaurants during the parade. There will be several specials and discounts at many of the eateries and shops in this quaint area.

9. Cupid’s Undie Run
Where: XFINITY Live! 1100 Pattison Ave.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 12PM-4PM
XFINTIY Live! presents this blowout party and run for a good cause. Benefiting the Children’s Tumor Foundation, this epic run asks participants to run a mile-ish in their underwear. There will be a pre-game and after-party. This event seeks to end neurofibromatosis. Last year. $3.5 million was raised worldwide. This year the sky is the limit. Come out in join in the craziest run you’ll ever be a part of, party your afternoon away, and share in this giving event.

10. Philly 90’s Comeback Bar Crawl
Where: Various bars in Center City
When: Saturday, February 18th, 12PM-10PM
Howl at the Moon, U-Bahn, Fox and Hound, and more team up for this 90’s themed bar crawl throughout the city. For $20 you get entry into all participating bars. 90’s music will be blasting in each location, food specials will be abundant, and beers will range between $1-$3. Each location will have various giveaways and swag and there will be a $50 cash prize for the best 90’s costume. The giveaways include Nintendo systems, 76ers courtside seats, and a trip for two to Las Vegas. Cast members from “All That”, “Keenan & Kel”, Real World/Road Rules”, and a special musical guest will all be in attendance.

11. Quizzo Bowl
Where: World Café Live, 3025 Walnut St.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 8PM
World Café Live will be hosting a mega quiz night this Saturday night. Quizzo Bowl XIII: The British Invasion will have up to 40 teams consisting of 8 people. Quizmaster Johnny Goodtimes will ask participating teams 50 questions. The 13th annual event will have live music between rounds and drink specials. Some quiz takers will be coming from as far as Denver and Austin to take part in the event. There will be up to $1500 in prizes up for grabs. Its $200 for a table of 8 and $30 for an individual ticket.

12. Daya
Where: The Trocadero, 1003 Arch St.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 7:30PM
Recent Grammy winner Daya will be taking over The Trocadero stage. The singer-songwriter and Pittsburgh, PA native released her first studio album in 2016 titled Sit Still, Look Pretty. Her rise to success came in 2015 when her hit single “Hide Away” surged up the Billboard Top 100 Chart and peaked at 23. In February 2016, it was her team up with The Chainsmokers for the track “Don’t Let Me Down” that produced her first top 5 single, worldwide acclaim, and her Grammy. Come see this fresh young talent in music this Saturday.

13. Young Professionals Ball at Revolutions
Where: Revolutions at Penn Treaty, 1009 Canal St.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 9PM
Young professionals its your time to shine, assemble, and network while wearing your best. There will be hundreds of people gathered at Revolutions, an exciting entertainment venue in the city. Tickets are $10 individually or $5 with a group of 4 or more. Your ticket gets you a complimentary free drink. There’s a VIP open bar option for only $25 and you can reserve a bowling alley with VIP open bar for $40. One bowling group needs to consists of 6-8 people. The bar will be flowing, music will soundtrack the night, and you’ll get the opportunity to mingle with other fun young minds in Philly.

14. Big Gigantic at The Fillmore
Where: The Fillmore Philadelphia, 29 E Allen St.
When: Saturday, February 18th, 9PM
Instrumental electronica and jazz group Big Gigantic sets its sights on The Fillmore this Saturday. The Boulder, Colorado based act released their sixth studio album in August of 2016. This ensemble band blends drums, horns, saxophones, and more to create a sound that marries EDM, jazz, and blues. Come hear their great instrumentation, take in their expansive visuals, and be caught up in the tunes of rhythmic electronica.

15. In the Black Box: Chill Moody, Voss, and Mars Parker
Where: Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St.
When: Sunday, February 19th, 9PM
In The Black Box: Northern Liberties Winter Festivals presents this hip hop showcase. Underground Arts opens its doors to Chill Moody, Voss, Mars Parker, and their fans this Sunday night. Chill Moody is a known hip hop that has held many sold out shows in the city, is in constant rotation on MTV Jams, and will be embarking on his own #CampMoody Tour this summer. Voss had shared the stage with several hip-hop heavyweights including Cam’ron, Pusha T, Talib Kweli, and more. He released is debut LP Insatiable last year. Mars Parker has a unique, artistic, and bold sound like no other. Tickets are $10.

16. Wine Fest at Sugar House Casino
Where: Sugar House Casino, 1001 N. Delaware Ave
When: Sunday, February 19th, 11AM-5PM
Sugar House Casino will be hosting this Wine WhiskeyFest”alcular” event. There will be 3 staggered 3 hour sessions. The sessions will run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.-5 p.m. There will be several PA wines to sample, cheese boards, charcuterie displays, grilled vegetable platters, and more. Ten distilleries and Wineries will be represented. Tickets are $25 for individuals, $39 for two, and $79 for five.

17. Strikes For Dreams Charity and Bowling Competition
Where: Lucky Strike Lounge & Lanes, 1336 Chestnut St.
When: Sunday, February 19th, 3PM-6PM
Lucky Strike hosts this event that benefits the Chase UR Dream Foundation. The foundation raises proceeds and awareness for children who experienced the loss of a limb. There will be plenty of food, drinks, and bowling to raise cash for this tremendous non-profit. Individual tickets are $50 and team tickets for 6-8 people are $250. There will be prizes for the top 3 teams. Entry, lane, and shoe rentals are covered with your ticket. Come have a fun time and support a group that tells children to never give up on their dreams.

18. South Street Mardi Gras
Where: Multiple location on South St. including Fat Tuesday
When: Sunday, February 19th, 1PM-6PM
The wild Bohemians 33rd Annual South Street Mardi Gras parade takes place this Sunday. This event will have an expansive and colorful parade, a bar crawl, and much more. This free and fun gathering will have live music, plenty of vendors on the street, and fantastic costumes. Come to this local favorite New Orleans themed bar to begin the festivities. Paddy Whacks, O’Neals, and Downey’s will also be participating in the crawl. The crawl and food are pay-as-you-go.

19. Symphony Sundays
Where: Dilworth Park, 1 S 15th St.
When: Sunday, February 19th, 12PM-2PM
Perched next to City Hall is downtown’s favorite winter ice rink. Dilworth Park and the Rothman Rink and Cabin have provided a diverse range of exciting events over the past few months. This Sunday, their orchestral tradition continues. Skaters will have a chance to slice the ice and take in the spinning downtown scenery while listening to the music of The Philadelphia Orchestra. Entry for adults is $5, for children its $3, and skate rentals are $10.
