The Richard Sherman trade rumors have heated up again.
However seriously you’d like to take them.
Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider appeared on 710 ESPN Wednesday morning and continues to acknowledge that the team have listened to other teams about his availability.
What you’ve seen lately in the news is real. That’s on both sides. It’s just open communication. He knows what’s going on. We know what’s going on. I don’t know if anything would ever happen, but like I tell people all the time, 98 percent of the deals that we’re involved with, we don’t follow through with. But at least we’ve opened that door, gone down the road and seen what’s behind Door A or Door B.
A trade doesn’t appear likely, but lines are still being cast out.
Would the Eagles potentially be interested? I would say no. I don’t believe the draft compensation to obtain Sherman would be worth it the way the roster is constructed and how many holes there are. Cornerback is obviously a desperate need, but it’s a great cornerback class.
Draft and develop them instead.
trade #14 for him.
