Welcome to Super Bowl Saturday! The big game is only one day away, and that means we only have one day to build up those betting accounts. With that in mind, I bring you a Saturday six-pack of plays that will hopefully make you enough to play every prop and side bet your heart desires. Let’s ride!

1. CBB: #10 Alabama (-2.5) at #18 Missouri – 12 p.m. ET, ESPN

The Crimson Tide are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 SEC contests. Don’t under estimate this Alabama team because they are on the court instead of the gridiron, they are for real. Currently ranked #10 in the nation, this team has been dominating their conference and if they run the table, would need to be considered for a 1 seed in the tournament.

Missouri has had a nice season themselves, currently 12-3 and ranked #13 in the country.  But the Tigers haven’t had the same success ATS as the Tigers, and while they have had some nice wins against Ranked upper echelon teams (Tennessee, Illinois, Oregon), they have been inconsistent, losing to weaker opponents along the way and more importantly recently (ie. Auburn).

Lay the points with the Tide.

2. CBB: #23 Kansas at #17 W.Virginia (-2) – 2 p.m. ET, CBS

The Jayhawks have outright lost four of their last six games. In years past, you would have thought this to be impossible, but alas it has happened. And to add to it, their only wins have been against TCU and K-State, who sit 8th and 9th in the 11-team Big 12 respectively. This has been the worst year for blue blood basketball programs on record, with Duke, UNC, and Kentucky all unranked, and Kansas on the edge at #23. Don’t fall for the trap of expecting a talent rebound, WVU is the better team here.

West Virginia has struggled a bit recently ATS (4-6 ATS in their last 10), but they have mainly been playing high-level competition. Losing to Florida by 5 when they were getting 4 pts, and losing to Texas by 2 when they were getting 1.5 are two very close bad beats that could have swung the other way.

Again, this is mainly a play against the Jayhawks, so take the Mountaineers laying the points.

3. NBA: Nuggets at Kings (+3.5) – 5 p.m. ET

This is the front end of a back to back for Sacramento right now where they head to LA tomorrow to play the Clippers. The Kings have won 4 of 5 and are staying in the race to make the playoffs in the Western Conference. The Kings have already been beaten by the Clippers by double digits twice, so if they want to have a split in this back to back, they need this win in the front half.

Denver just lost a tough one against the Lakers, and play the Bucks on Monday, making this Kings game feel like a lull between two premier games.

Take the home dog in Sacramento with the 3.5.

4. NBA: Nets at 76ers (-1.5) – 8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Philadelphia

A game that Sixers fans, neigh, basketball fans have been waiting to see since James Harden arrived in Brooklyn. The team that got him, against the team that was rumored to be the other top trade partner, and they both sit atop the Eastern Conference. The Nets have had ups and downs since the trade, most recently losing outright to the worst team in the East Wizards, followed by a win against the title-contending Clippers.

But now to the meat and potatoes: The Philadelphia 76ers are at home. If you have used that logic in your betting over the last two or three years, you would be a very happy man or woman. Yes, they are coming off a loss at home against a depleted Portland team, but there is only one thing rarer than a 76ers loss at home, and that is back to back losses at home.

It’s a small number that likely won’t come into play, lay the points, and back the Sixers at home. Did I mention the Nets are on the back end of a back-to-back?

5. NBA: Warriors (+4) at Mavericks – 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC

Are these the Golden State Warriors that went to all those Finals in the last decade? No, but they are much better than the team last year that was for all intents and purposes a complete laughing stock. They are a team that I expect to make the playoffs and have Steph carry them to make it a fight in a first-round series. They also just beat this same team 147-116, in the same location on Thursday.

Now to the Mavericks. Has there been a more disappointing team in the NBA this season? They have one of the most exciting young players in the game in Luka Doncic, another All-Star and “unicorn” in Kristaps Porzingas, and a decent supporting cast on paper. But this team is right now one spot above the bottom in the Western Conference. Can I buy into a turnaround? Yes, because of that talent.

But until they start to show it, take the Warriors and the points all day.

6. NBA: Grizzlies (+1.5) at Pelicans: 9 p.m. ET

In a similar tale with a lot less national attention this evening, the Grizzlies are an above .500 team that is trying to fight to get a playoff spot. They have had some Covid-19 issues earlier this season, but that is now behind them and they have been playing decent basketball, but they have lost two in a row coming in.

The Pelicans are another team that had hype all the hype coming into the season (not sure if you’ve heard of this Zion fella), but have not lived up to it at this point. They are right next to the Mavericks in the standings near the bottom, and until they figure it out, I feel comfortable playing against them. I also love the fact they are in the second half of a back to back, and the Grizz should be fresh.

Take the 1.5 with Memphis, or even sprinkle a bit on the moneyline.
