Shooters Radio: Beyond The Mat deep dive

It’s one of the most critically-acclaimed wrestling documentaries of all-time, and this week, we’re taking a deep dive into it.

Beyond The Mat was released on October 22, 1999, and was directed, written, produced, and narrated by Barry W. Blaustein, who was a pretty famous writer and did a lot of projects with Eddie Murphy: Saturday Night Live, Coming to America, and The Nutty Professor to name a few. Blaustein rode across the country documenting the highs and lows of professional wrestling and focused on three main stories: the WWF, Mick Foley, and Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

We dive into all of it in one of our most in-depth and comprehensive episodes ever. Join us!
