The Philadelphia Eagles moved one step closer to clinching an NFC East title and the NFC’s No. 1 seed on Sunday following a 25-20 victory over the Chicago Bears.
Nick Sirianni’s squad can clinch both of those achievements with a road victory over rivals Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve next Saturday. Both teams are 3-1 in divisional play, with two division games left on their respective schedules. The Cowboys suffered a backbreaking 40-34 overtime loss on Sunday at the Jacksonville Jaguars, with former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson now at the helm in Jacksonville.
Jalen Hurts totaled 376 yards and three rushing touchdowns for the Eagles on Sunday at Soldier Field while A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both registered 100+ yards each (Brown had 181, Smith had 126). Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat, and Javon Hargrave led the way defensively with two sacks apiece against Bears versatile quarterback Justin Fields.

For the Eagles to clinch the NFC East, they need to either win or tie one of their final three games (@ Dallas, vs. New Orleans, vs. New York Giants), or the Cowboys must lose or tie once (vs. Eagles, @ Tennessee, @ Washington).
A victory over Dallas on Christmas Eve would clinch the NFC East for the Eagles
The Eagles will clinch the No. 1 seed also with a victory over Dallas on Christmas Eve. They currently lead the No. 1 seed race by two games over the Minnesota Vikings following Minnesota’s comeback win on Saturday over the Indianapolis Colts.
Minnesota hosts the New York Giants in Week 16 before traveling to NFC South rivals Green Bay and Chicago to end their regular season schedule.
