Huge Update Regarding Jahlil Okafor Gun Incident

It’s been an interesting rookie season on and off the court for Jahlil Okafor to say the least. On the court Okafor is averaging 17.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1 block per game. Off the court he was first involved in a fight that happened outside of a bar in Boston. That incident alone embarrassed Okafor, though a famous former porn star came to Okafor’s defense after the fight video first surfaced.

Unfortunately for Okafor, there was another incident that he was involved with in Philly from October, which included having a gun pointed at his head. After a second video emerged of the Boston fight, the Sixers suspended Jah. Everyone from Charles Barkley to Coach K and Carmelo Anthony voiced their thoughts on what Jah was going through.

Now, TMZ is reporting that prior to Jah having the gun pulled on him in his October incident in Philly, a “seemingly drunk” Okafor was knocked to the ground cops say. TMZ Sports obtained an incident report, where the two National Park Service officers involved gave their official statements.

Per the report Okafor was seen stumbling down the street around 2:20 AM on October 4th. Having trouble standing, Jah was being held up by two friends when Okafor broke away from the group and started to bang on the back of a Camaro. The cops said that they witnessed the driver of the Camaro get out of the car and strike Okafor – knocking him to the ground. That’s when a second man approached Jah and pointed the gun at him.

The cops per the report intervened and yelled for the man to drop the gun. That suspect fled the scene and ditched the gun, though it was found the next day. No arrests have been made in this incident.

I’m certain that we’ll hear more on these new details. A rep for Okafor declined to comment for TMZ.
