The reports keep coming, and Jahlil Okafor decided to take to Twitter to finally speak on all of it, just two days after he addressed the media on Friday in Houston about the bar fight in Boston.
So, what did Mr. Oak have to say? Here are his series of Tweets, followed by my aggregation of a full quote.
I hold myself to a higher standard than anyone else ever could and I'm not proud of some of my decisions over the last few months.

I own my choices both personally and now publicly. At this point I am cooperating and respecting the process I have to go through.

Going forward I don't want to be a distraction for my team and am grateful for the support and guidance those close to me are giving.

I am 100% focused on my responsibility to the League, my teammates and fans.

This is as good a response as we could hope for, I guess. He needed to apologize and show remorse, but also without really confirming reports or saying much. I still think he’s a good kid, but he’s only a teenager, on a really bad team, surrounded by other young players, in a new city, with millions of dollars.
If the Sixers were smart they’d start investing in veteran mentors that come in and take every player under their wings and help work on their attitudes, and ability to handle adversity. The guys need it right now. Hell, they brought in Luc Mbah a Moute for Joel Embiid. It’s Okafor’s turn now.
