Giants beat writer, Art Stapleton, is reporting that Ben McAdoo, an apparent leading candidate in the head coaching search for the Eagles, is closing in on a deal to become the next head coach of the New York Giants.

If Jason La Canfora’s and Tim McManus’ reports from earlier are to be believed, this would take McAdoo and Pederson out of the running if the Eagles are planning to announce their new hire within the next day or two. Tom Coughlin? Pat Shurmur coming back? Oy… it doesn’t look good.
