The thing we wondered about Doug Pederson when he was named as the next Eagles’ head coach is if he would be keeping some of the coaches that were already in place here, or if he would be taking any from the Chiefs.
Andy Reid said he expected Pederson to not bring any of his coaches. What we didn’t know is if Chip Kelly would ask for permission to speak with any of the coaches left behind from his regime in Philly. And it sounds like he did want permission.
. #Eagles denied #49ers permission to interview coaches OL Jeff Stoutland, DB Cory Undlin, ST Dave Fipp. Fipp stays for sure @FOX29philly

Out of those three, losing Dave Fipp would probably prove to be the most costly. Fipp has turned the Eagles’ special teams unit into one of the most elite units in the entire NFL. Not allowing Chip to speak to the other coaches is just an absolute savage move by Jeffrey Lurie. One I’m OK with.
And we might be getting back another all-time Eagles great.

Also hear #eagles could bring back former WR Greg Lewis as WR coach. @FOX29philly
