Happy Super Tuesday! Here’s a Drinking Game

It’s Super Tuesday and here’s a drinking game you can play with your friends.

But first and foremost, for anyone who is not politically aware, Super Tuesday is an important day in the Presidential race. Here’s why:

  • A total of 13 states and one territory will be voting: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Wyoming, and Virginia including the territory of American Samoa
  • No other day has more primary elections held across the country for each party’s running candidates
  • In the history of Super Tuesdays, candidates who prevail on this day tend to win their party’s nomination
  • Many delegates are secured on this day. Delegates, party activists or local politicians, are crucial in order for candidates to win their party’s nomination

If you are not voting in one of the participating Super Tuesday states, you can still partake in the national event by playing one of America’s most classic games…a drinking game. The states’ polls close as early as 7pm (times vary) with live coverage happening throughout most of this evening. Here’s a recommendation of what you should drink at the time you should drink it:

Drink (Beer of your choice) when:

  • Newscasters start to talk over one another
  • Mention of Trump’s response about KKK members supporting his candidacy
  • A screenshot of a voter’s and/or candidate’s tweet appears on TV
  • An anchor mispronounces or stutters over a word
  • Ben Carson looks like he may fall asleep
  • A newscaster uses any kind of wordplay or pun ie: “Berned out” “Trump Donald” etc.
  • The phrases: “game changer” “young voters” “make America great again” or any reference to “winning” is made
  • A clip of robot Hillary Clinton is shown
  • A clip of any candidate urging people to get out and vote today is shown
  • A Trump supporter is interviewed
  • You feel the need to change the channel
  • Any mention of Trump’s hands

Take a shot (liquor of your choice) when:

  • A state’s confirmed result is announced
  • You feel disappointed and still at a loss of who you should vote for

Pour a shot out when:

  • Kasich and/or Carson officially drop out of the race
