Chip Kelly Continues to Troll Eagles’ Fans with Dumb Comments

Someone needs to shut Chip Kelly the hell up already. Ever since he moved onto the 49ers, he continues to troll Eagles’ fans with really dumb comments. In late February he said that his job was acquiring talent, not getting rid of it, which was such a foolish statement on so many levels. Among other things, when he was in Philadelphia all he did was get rid of talent.

Kelly recently spoke to CSNBayArea.com and continued to insult our intelligence by making more really annoying comments about his offense that he now has in San Francisco. Here’s what Kelly had this to say courtesy of ProFootballTalk.

“Obviously, you look at what Carlos Hyde can do. He’s one of the really good young running backs. There’s a bunch of guys at receiver, led by Torrey [Smith], and Torrey really has a skill set because he can run. He’s kind of a matchup problem for people.”

Can I jump in for a second and remind you that in Philadelphia he had LeSean McCoy at one point before he dumped him. Last season he had DeMarco Murray, Darren Sproles and Ryan Mathews. Don’t get me wrong, Hyde could be a good running back at some point, but I don’t want to hear any nonsense from Kelly’s mouth on him now having more talent at the RB position now.

Also if I recall, at one point Kelly had DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin on the team, but didn’t want to deal with Jackson’s ego and he obviously thought that Maclin wasn’t good enough to re-sign. Sorry, but I’d take the Jackson-Maclin combo over the Smith-Anquan Boldin pne any day.

Kelly even raved about his new team’s tight ends. He said the tight ends on his roster, Vance McDonald, Garrett Celek and Blake Bell, are a good collection of talent. Pffffff…

“That will be a fun group to work with, in terms of how you disperse them and try to figure out what’s going on.”

I have two words for Kelly and they are Zach Ertz. Kelly probably should’ve tried to use him a bit instead of wasting his talent.

But Kelly wasn’t done just yet because he had to talk about that badass offensive line that Kelly has at his disposal now.

“Obviously, the O-line, led by Joe Staley, there’s a lot of talent there, too,” Kelly said. “I think it’s a good group. Joe Staley is one of the most fit, athletic big people you ever want. I met Joe about a week ago. He came in. He fits perfect. It fits to his skill set set. I’ve always been a big fan of big people. Somebody once told me, ‘Big people beat up little people.’ I think we fit philosophically.”

I know the Eagles’ O-line was banged up at times, but come the hell on! The Eagles offensive line is better than the 49ers line. Plus, if Kelly would’ve used his running backs properly, we could’ve seen the real force that our O-line could’ve been. I understand that Kelly has to say all the right things for his new team, but he’s killing me every time he opens his mouth now.

If the Eagles roster had as much talent as you seem to think, then they sure didn’t show it on the field, regardless of what you think of the playcalling. Carlos Hyde is, without question, a more talented RB than anyone on Philly’s roster last year. LT Joe Staley and RT Annthony Davis are Pro Bowl linemen. Boldin is a free agent, while the Niners do in fact have a talented young group of speedy WR’s looking to earn a spot behind Torrey Smith. Try not to be such an obvious blind homer, yeah?
