North Dakota Just Won the College Hockey National Championship

The University of North Dakota, the same university that Dave Hakstol left to become the head coach of your Philadelphia Flyers, just defeated Quinnipiac University out of Hamden, Connecticut, 5-1, to become the NCAA men’s national champions of ice hockey.

What a day for Hakstol, eh? First, Hakstol’s current squad clinches a playoff berth in his first season as an NHL coach. Hours later, the very team he left, wins a national title.
