Report: Three Teams Are Interested in Trading For Sam Bradford

Who even wants Sam Bradford?

We’re talking about an injury-prone, 28-year-old starter whose market in free agency was pretty dry.

It appears three teams are interested in his services, according to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, as the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills are on the list. Bradford signed a two-year $36 million deal with $22 million guaranteed a few months ago.

The big dilemma is the $12.5 million cap hit for this season and the $11 million dead money value if Bradford is traded by June 1st. Are the Eagles ready to eat that?

In addition to the Broncos, who are obviously looking for a new starting quarterback after the retirement of Peyton Manning, the Cleveland Browns and the Buffalo Bills expressed interest in Bradford a year ago,” Cole said. “The Bills are strongly looking at a quarterback with their draft pick this year and the Browns are expected to draft a quarterback somewhere in the first round or later in this draft this year as well.”

“The big issue here, however, is what are the Eagles going to do about the $11 million signing bonus that they already gave to Bradford when he signed a two-year deal earlier this offseason? The question for the Eagles is do they want to keep the headache of having Bradford around? Or do they somehow want to find a way to settle this and ultimately trade him?”

Denver makes the most sense out of the three with Peyton Manning retiring following the Super Bowl 50 win, although I would’ve thought the New York Jets might be interested too. If the Browns were thinking Bradford, they would’ve chimed in about him more during the trade discussions for the No. 2 pick last week. The Bills already have Tyrod Taylor, who had a breakout 2015 campaign in Buffalo.

Eagles vice president of football operations Howie Roseman is still putting his full support behind Sam Bradford. He reiterated that to CSN Philly’s John Clark on Monday.

The Broncos reached out to Philadelphia, but according to Mike Klis of 9News, the asking price was too high.

The asking price will probably remain high for the time being with the dead money value much higher now than it will be on June 1st. The $11 million dead money value drops to $5.5 million if Philadelphia elects to ship him away after that and it would save $7 million. Next year the cap hit rises to $22.5 million with a $5.5 million dead money value. Philly would save $17 million in cap space if it traded him after the season and you’d think a potential trade partner would renegotiate his contract.

It’ll be interesting to see what Denver eventually does. Do the Broncos trade for Colin Kaepernick, Bradford or draft a quarterback with their first-round pick. And even if they take a quarterback, they might still target Bradford after June 1st.

I’m going to be serious here this team sucks ass soo bad chase daniel is a douche doug pederson is a creep who would fuck your 20 year old sister and he’s 51 years old and looks like a plumber. Sam Bradford has no stability here and he’s mediocre
This draft is soooo brutal you can get a better player possibly picking at 23 than picking at 4. The eagles already gave away there future by trading up this team is just a miserable bunch and they have the worst uniforms in the NFL with the seahawks
