The Flyers Released Their 2016-17 Regular Season Schedule, and Here’s What It Looks Like

We mentioned on Monday the Flyers’ home opener for the 2016-17 season would be October 20th when the Los Mighty Ducks of Anaheim Angeles visit the Wells Fargo Center. Yesterday, the Flyers released their regular season schedule, and they’ll open the season – their 50th anniversary season – in Los Angeles against the Kings on Friday, October 14th.

Some highlights:

  • They’ll end the regular season with a back-to-back against the Blue Jackets and Hurricanes on April 8th and 9th.
  • The Hurricanes and Devils will play the Flyers five times each.
  • They’ll play the Capitals on December 21st and February 22nd at home; January 15th and March 4th in Washington.
  • Penguins come to town on October 29th. They’ll also play March 15th in Philly; February 25th and March 26th in Pittsburgh.
  • Black Friday game against the Rangers on November 25th at 1 P.M. They also play the Rangers January 4th at home; January 25th and April 2nd in New York.
  • Flyers vs. Penguins at Heinz Field on February 25th.
  • Two road games and one home game against: Bruins, Sabres, Maple Leafs and Canadiens
  • Two home games and one road game against: Red Wings, Lightning, Panthers and Senators.
  • Flyers won’t play more than two consecutive road games from October 18th through December 10th.
  • They’ll be on the road a lot to wind down the season. They’ll play 13 of 19 games on the road from February 15th through March 26th.
