Doug Pederson brought in former San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich to be his offensive coordinator in his first season as head coach of the Eagles. As it turns out, it could be Reich’s only year coaching with the Eagles, as he’s reportedly set to interview for the Buffalo Bills’ head coaching vacancy.
Much like Jeffrey Lurie did last season, the Buffalo Bills fired their head coach, Rex Ryan, with one game left in the 2016 season. Reich is no stranger to Buffalo, where he spent 10 seasons as a backup quarterback to Jim Kelly. For what it’s worth, Reich’s old team, the San Diego Chargers, fired their head coach, Mike McCoy, yesterday.
