Mike Vick Officially Retires

After months of speculation and the lack of interest from any NFL team, quarterback Mike Vick officially retired from the NFL today. Vick announced his retirement during an interview with ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

The retirement has been rumored for a few days as TMZ reported earlier this week, stating that he had a retirement party planned for this week.

Vick, 36, was a four-time Pro Bowler during his career with the Falcons, Eagles, Jets, and Steelers. He reportedly wants to retire a Falcon and is weighing his options on how to go about that.

What is in Vick’s future? Will he enter the media? He certainly has a lot of wisdom about being a football player, both on and off the field. My guess is that he would fit in well with Fox Sports or NFL Network. He may be too edgy for the mothership at ESPN. Where do you think he lands?
