Howie Roseman wants to get a gauge of the trade market for the best wide receiver on his team.
YAHOO! Sports NFL reporter Charles Robinson reported Sunday night that the Eagles are open to dealing Jordan Matthews and back-up quarterback Chase Daniel.

Obviously being open to trading somebody is different than actually wanting to part weighs with the guy. The 24-year-old Matthews is set to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2017 season and if the Birds don’t have him in their future plans, why not accept an offer for a value you weren’t expecting. Cooper Kupp has emerged as in intriguing slot wideout prospect, perhaps Philly would rather take its chances on Kupp or another pup for a cheaper price than Matthews, who will be seeking a healthy extension.
But that’s only if the Eagles get an offer they can’t refuse. Their receiving corps is a dumpster fire and at least Matthews is a viable option, although he’s yet to eclipse the 1,000-yard plateau. He put up 997 yards and eight touchdowns in Chip Kelly’s up-tempo attack in 2015 and regressed to 804 yards and three scores in Doug Pederson’s slower, methodical approach.
Howie’s just casting his hooks out.
