Parks on Tap This Week: Aviator Park & Gorgas Park

This week Parks on Tap will be at Aviator Park once again. The festivities will also be popping up at Gorgas Park. There will be a yoga class at Gorgas Park on Thursday, August 10th from 6:30PM-7:30PM. Both locations will have several selections of beer on tap, food trucks, cocktails, and more.

This Week’s Center City Sips Picks: Brü, Fine Palate, Pennsylvania 6

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $5 cocktails, $4 wines, $3 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals:

Brü Craft & Wurst: Brü Craft & Wurst is a German alehouse and eats spot smack in the middle of Center City. During Sips the bar has $3 Founder’s All Day IPA and Jack’s Pear Cider. Choose from the ample selection of local and international beers the place has to offer while trying everything from Bavarian pretzels to currywurst.

Fine Palate: On 15th Street you’ll find American eatery Fine Palate. It’s a Pinot party during Sips as both Noir and Grigio are the wines discounted. They also have Wolters Pilsner for $3 during thus time. The food menu is buried with tremendous options from savory risotto to buffalo tartar.

Pennsylvania 6: Pennsylvania 6 is a gorgeous American bistro with a seafood praised and featured menu. Staple beers such as Bud Light, Yards Pale Ale, and Stella Artois make their home on this culinary landmark’s $3 beer list during Sips. Similar to Fine Palate both Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio are the wines of choice.

This Week’s Old City Eats Picks: Positano Coast, Revolution House, Keating’s Rope & Anchor Bar

Each Thursday between the hours of 5PM-8PM Philadelphia historic district Old City participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials. Here are this week’s best deals:

Positano Coast: Positano Coast By Aldo Lamberti is located at 2nd and Walnut. The Italian seafood hotspot is not only known for its amazing decor but its impressive menu as well. During Old City Eats Salmon focaccia is featured as an optimal appetizer. Try the Take On Me cocktail which includes Faber vodka, ginger liquor, black tea, and simple lime.

Revolution House: Close by on Market Street is Revolution House. From firecracker shrimp to guacamole, this rustic American restaurant has plenty of appetizers to choose from. They also have a Victory Summer Love and a specialty lemonade and iced tea cocktail.

Keating’s Rope & Anchor Bar: Shut up, Shut up, you had me at peach Bellini. Keating’s Rope & Anchor Bar +Kitchen is a Columbus Boulevard treasure. The restaurant offers waterfront and city views while serving up cast iron stuffed mushrooms and more. Magic Hat Circus Boy is the $4 beer of the hour each Thursday.

Events Picks

Each week, Philly Influencer picks the best parties and gatherings the city has to offer.

Sips & Strike: Lucky Strike is hosting a Center City Sips after party tonight stating at 7PM. This weekly event has bottomless bowling, half-priced appetizers, live music, and more.

Night Market: This Thursday night will be the annual food truck festival Night Market. This rotation the event will take place in Roxborough on Ridge Ave. Come join the food celebrations that will have live music and tons of culinary choices.

Betsy Ross Cider Garden: At this Betsy Ross House this Thursday from 6PM-10PM there will be a Summer cider garden. The event will have live music, food trucks, and special ciders from all over.

#PNK5: This Thursday marks the fifth year of the blowout Pretty Nasty Kookowt Weekend.  There will be an event a William Street Commons, an All White Jawn soiree at District N9Ne this Friday, a party and cookout at Lemon Hill on Saturday, and more.

R&B N Poetry: Warmdaddy’s will be hosting an R&B N Poetry event this Thursday night at 7:30PM. There will be live music and drinks flowing as the fusion of spoke word and music fills your evening. There will also be a comedy event at the same establishment on Wednesday night.

Born Legends Birthday Weekend: This Friday evening Bamboo Nightclub will be hosting Born Legends & Team Good Times’ Infamous Celebrity Birthday Weekend. There will be a performance by Philly’s own Lil Uzi Vert, cocktails, DJs, and more at this event.
