The Eagles’ Divisional Playoff Opponent Is Now Set

Heading into next week’s NFC Divisonal Playoff, the NFC’s No. 1 seed was set to face one of three possible opponents: the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, or the less likely sixth-seeded Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons visited the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night in a Wild Card Playoff, and were the obvious underdogs. But that’s why the play the games, folks. The Falcons handled the Rams pretty easily, defeating them, 26-13.

They’ll visit The Linc next Saturday afternoon at 4:30 for the NFC Divisional Playoff against the Eagles.

Also of note, the Tennessee Titans rolled into Kansas City and looked hapless in the first half against the Chiefs and Andy Reid, but Reid abandoned the run as he’s apt to do in every big game ever, and the Titans stormed back to win, 22-21. Pretty incredible turn of events in the first day of the playoffs.
