This Week in Cocktails: Parks on Tap at Azalea Garden

Parks On Tap officially opens its season tomorrow at Azalea Garden. The Boathouse Row location will be bursting with lively guest, food trucks, the best brews, and more. On Thursday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., there will be free yoga in the park. The hours for this roaming beer garden are Wednesday 1 p.m. – 10 p.m., Thursday 5 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m.- 11 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Thursday, April 26th is National Pretzel Day

Philadelphia Pretzel Factory will be giving away one free pretzel to every guest who comes to their locations. Additionally, the first 100 customers who come to the establishment will receive a voucher for a free pretzel each day of the month of May.

Philadelphia is a major spanning city. It’s always brimming with exciting new activities and things to do each week. Sometimes answering the simple question of where to eat or get a quick drink can be overwhelming. Each week Philly Influencer will highlight some new places and local favorites to add to your list.

Brews and Views: A library isn’t the first place that comes to mind when looking for a drink. However in the City of Brotherly Love when the sun comes out, one of the best places in the city to get a drink with a view is on the Skyline Terrace at the Parkway Central Library. This Thursday come out for Brews & Views for craft beers, wine, and plenty of small bites.

PHS Pop Up Garden: Each Spring and Summer season blossoms the reemergence of PHS Pop Up beer gardens. Opening this Thursday, the South Street and University City locations of this botanically themed cocktail soiree will be open for business.

SOMO Manayunk: This Friday ends Manayunk Restaurant Week. The food inclusive offers up three-course, prix fixe menus ranging from $15-35 per person. SOMO Manayunk is participating in the trendy week and known for its amazing American cuisine and small plates. From Monday-Sunday the restaurant has a regular and late-night happy hour at 5 p.m.-6 p.m. and 10 p.m.-11 p.m. The specials include half off drafts and well cocktails, $5 bar snacks, and $3.00 off all specialty drinks.

Science Night at the Market: The Reading Terminal Market will be hosting a Philly Science Festival event this Thursday. Science Night at the Market will be a highlight of the local hotspot from 7 p.m.- 10. p.m. The event includes several activities, $5 food bites from vendors, cooking workshops,  and a scavenger hunt with prizes.

Philly Tech Week Opening Party: Philly Tech Week is about to gear up. The next few days will be full of panels of innovation, discussions, demonstrations, and a few parties. The kick-off party for the week will be taking place at SPIN Philadelphia this Friday night from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. This event is free with an RSVP.

AirBnB Experiences Party and Bar Crawl: This Friday AirBnB will be pairing up local experts and residents with guests from all around the world with their very own house party and bar crawl event.  This excursion through the city will include dancing, drinks, and making new friends.

Philly Margarita March: This Saturday will be the annual Philly Margarita March. Starting at the Fox & Hound, this bar crawl will include seven bars in total. You can sip and bounce from place to place while enjoying great drink and food specials.

Margarita Rumble: The Margarita Rumble will be taking over Philadelphia this Saturday. Fifteen of the best bars and restaurants will vie for the title of best margarita in the city. Come out to see this mixologist war, an assembly of food trucks at the location, and a fun time. The fiesta will benefit PAWS, an organization that aids homeless and at-risk animals.

Manayunk Craft Beer and Rum Festival: Come out to Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant this Saturday for the 20th Annual Manayunk Craft Beer and Rum Festival. From 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. you’ll get to taste over 70 craft beers and dozens of rum options. There are VIP options that include food passes and early entry.

Rock Band Jam: XFINITY Live! will be hosting a Rock Band Jam this Saturday from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. The entertainment venue will be the place to be for great food options, drink specials, and to show off your Rock Band Skills.

Shuck Fest:Oyster House will be hosting its annual Shuck Fest ths Sunday from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. There will be any oyster shucking competition, tutorials, oyster tastings, drink specials, and more.
