Cocktails of the Week: National Mojito Day 

Wednesday, July 11th is National Mojito Day, so here are some of the best deals in the city for the summer cocktail:

Boxers: Boxers will be serving up FREE Peach Mojito samples for all cocktail lovers who RSVP. The downtown bar will be serving up the sweet blend from the hours of 5PM-7PM.

Cuba Libre: Cuba Libre will be selling $5 classic mojitos all day. The rum bar, restaurant, and entertainment location opens at 11:30AM each day. Come out for a great discount this Wednesday.

JJ Bootleggers: JJ Bootleggers will be having a blowout deal for the day. They’re offering FREE Moonshine Mojitos to all who RSVP. The offer is good for all who attend from 5 PM-7PM.

Center City Sips Picks: Smokin’ Betty’s, SUGA, Veda

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $6 cocktails, $5 wines, $4 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals.

Smokin’ Betty’s: Smokin’ Betty’s bartenders will be shelling out $6 Hornitos Paloma, White Peach Sangria, and Betty’s Rum Punch each Wednesday during Sips. Canyon Oaks Chardonnay and Cabernet will be the wines of choice. Try their Mongolian BBQ Wings, a buffalo chicken quesadilla, a pork belly BLT slider, spicy dry rub riblets, and grilled veggie skewers all for half-price.

SUGA: SUGA is a Sansom Street hotspot where you can go to get some amazing and contemporary Asian cuisine. The bistro has some great summer blends including the Watermelon Margarita (Hornitos reposado, watermelon, and lime) and the Summer White Sangria (pinot grigio, Effen black cherry, Jim Beam Apple, and fruit). Whether you’re in the mood for Curry Chicken Dumplings or Popcorn Pork Ravioli, this place has you covered.

Veda: Veda is a lively and upbeat Indian restaurant severing tremendous and savory dishes. During Center City Sips, come to the trendy spot for a $6 Mango Margarita, Nimboo Margarita, or Old Fashioned. They have half-priced chicken and veggie masala tacos, Samosa Chaat, Malabar Fish Fry, and more.

Old City Eats Picks: Buffalo Billiards, Common Wealth, M. Brown’s Bar

Each Thursday between the hours of 5 pm-8 pm Philadelphia participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials.

Buffalo Billiards: Buffalo Billiards has plenty of options for Old City Eats. Stop by for your favorite pub grub options such as wings, chili cheese fries, buffalo chicken dip, and more. There are $4 well drinks including Faber Liquors and $3 select Penn Beer drafts.

Common Wealth: Common Wealth Old City serves up South Carolina and Southern fare and is full of rustic charm. Shrimp Po Boy Tacos with Cajun Remoulade are the Eats appetizer of choice.  PAir them with a Travelers Passage Martini with Faber Vodka-soaked Pineapples or a Troegs Sunshine Pilsner.

M. Brown’s Bar: M. Brown’s Bar has spicy sliders, french curry yogurt, and more for you to eat during these half-price hours. Try their specialty cocktail that perfectly fuses Faber Citrus Vodka, ginger syrup, lemonade, and fresh Basil.

Each week, Philly Influencer picks the best parties, events, and social gatherings the area has to offer.

University City Dining Days: University City Dining Days will be kicking off this Thursday, July 12th. The phenomenal dining experience offers up three-course options for $15, $25, and $35 all through University City.

Parks on Tap: Parks On Tap is at Glendinning Rock Garden this week. There will be masses of people stopping by food trucks, the best brews, and plenty of activities. The hours for this roaming beer garden are Wednesday and Thursday 5 PM – 10 PM, Friday 4 PM– 11 PM, Saturday 1 PM – 11 PM, and Sunday 12 PM – 10 PM.

Sweat & Shrub: Every Wednesday and Thursday Quaker City Shrubs and SWEAT Fitness presents this a complimentary social happy hour for all you spin class lovers in the city. Come to Fitler Square (5:30-6:30PM) or Manayunk SWEAT (6-7PM). Classes are free for members and $10 for non-members. The outdoor spin class will end with some great brews and people.

The Fairmount Fling Bar Crawl: This Thursday is The Fairmount Fling Bar Crawl. From 6PM-10PM, this Bastille Day weekend celebration will be having discounted drinks and specials along Fairmount Avenue. All participants will get a bow tie, a map, and the promise of a good time.

Emo Night: Emo Night Brooklyn is this Thursday at the Fillmore Philadelphia. Starting at 10:30PM, the best of 00’s emo & pop punk will be blasting to the speakers of the entertainment fans. Taking Back Sunday fans and Dashboard Confessional nation, come out for a night of drinking, dancing, and singalongs.

Pizzadelphia Pizza Festival: Pizzadelphia Pizza Festival is this Saturday, July 14th. Several great pizza connoisseurs, restauranteurs, and chefs are in the region to celebrate this one-of-a-kind pizza festival.

I Love the 90’s Bash: This Saturday several Old City bars including Finn McCools Ale House, Victoria Freehouse, and more will be having a throwback soiree.  Bring your friends decked in your best 90’s gear for drink specials and more on this crawl. The event is from 2PM-10PM.

White Out: Warmdaddys will be partying the night away in all white Wear on Delaware River this Saturday night from 5PM-10PM. DJ Clint Nice will be spinning the latest hits at this trendy day party.

Drake Night: For all you “In My Feelings” fans who haven’t gotten enough of hearing “Keke do you love me…” come out to the Fillmore Philadelphia this Saturday night. So Far Gone night begins at 9PM. The DJ will be playing all Drake for several hours and then the best in hip-hop.

RETOX Carnivale: This Sunday from 2PM-8PM Grunners Run will be hosting a Carnivale Day Party. There will be Latin, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Top 40, and more played throughout the event. There will also be Captain Morgan $3 U-Call-It shots.

FIFA World Cup Block Party: This Sunday from 10AM-5PM , Brauhaus Schmitz will be hosting a FIFA World Cup final viewing party. There will be a 20-foot screen, a beer garden, games, food, and more. The party is free.

Dinosaurs, Ballet and Beer

When: Tuesday, July 17th, 4PM-8PM

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and BalletX have partnered to bring you an amazing night of ballets and brews. There will be a pop-up performance by BalletX, Philly’s premier contemporary ballet. There will also be a scavenger hunt with live animals, a butterfly house, and drink at the Dino Drafts Beer Garden.
