Cocktails of the Week: Parks on Tap

Parks on Tap will be at Fairmount Water Works this week through Sunday evening.  As usual, the pop-up beer garden will have plenty of drinks and food available at any of the food trucks nearby. Come out to the Schuylkill River adjacent park for some sips and tremendous food options.

Philadelphia is a major spanning city. It’s always brimming with exciting new activities and things to do each week. Sometimes answering the simple question of where to eat or get a quick drink can be overwhelming. Each week Philly Influencer will highlight some new places and local favorites to add to your list. 

Jamonera: Jamonera is an amazing Spanish-themed tapas restaurant in Center City.  Today and tomorrow, Jamonera will be hosting a special Sherry Dinner. The menu includes fig and goat cheese tosta, pan seared codfish, chicken thigh confit, fideua, and blackberry tahini cake.

Stock: This Fishtown gem offers a great Vietnamese BYOB experience. This fantastic restaurant has an excellent Pho menu. Here’s you can start off with a Vietnamese Papaya Salad or Burmese Cold Noodles. This food spot does a great job mixing spices and flavors in every dish.

Oyster House: Here’s the shout out to Center City this week with seafood catering Oyster House.  From Oysters, to lobsters, to fish, or crab, this downtown restaurant has it all. The family style dining offers special shuck deals on certain days and a knowledgeable staff. Come out for happy hour specials or an amazing dinner.

Will BYOB: This French inspired café is nestled on East Passunk Ave. The down to earth eatery is known for its eclectic menu that’s headed by Chef Christopher Kearse. The selections include everything from Green Gazpacho, to Spinach + Garlic Parisian Gnocchi, and more.

Weekly Events 

Each week, Philly Influencer picks the best parties, events, and social gatherings the area has to offer.

That’s A Bingo: Saint Benjamin Brewing Company will be hosting a bingo night themed party this Wednesday. Starting at 8 pm, the brewery will have tons of drinks, prizes and giveaway, and plenty of games.

Mount Airy Supper Sessions: This Wednesday from 5 pm-10 pm, Mt. Airy’s Supper Sessions on the Avenue will take place. There will be live music, cocktails, food from plenty of local restaurants, and plenty of games.

Jazz Industry Day: This Thursday is  Jazz Industry Day. In partnership with Jazz Lives Philadelphia, there will be live musical performances all day, plenty of networking mixers, and an afterparty at SOUTH Jazz Kitchen.

Baltimore Ave Dollar Stroll: This Thursday night is the Baltimore Ave Dollar Stroll. Several businesses, eateries, and more in University City will be special deals. You can get several plates, books, music, and more for the cost of a simple dollar.

Farwell to Summer Oyster Bash: The Hill-Physick House will be hosting a Farwell to Summer: The Great Oyster Craze gathering this Thursday. The slurp and sip party will have a beer garden, cocktails, entertainments, and plenty of oysters.

Social Sips: SkyGarten will be having a Social Sips Summer Party this Thursday night. From 6 pm, come check out amazing views of the city, sip on some cocktails, and network at this jumping happy hours.

Philadelphia Music Festival: This Saturday is the 1st annual Philadelphia Music Festival. The Open Kitchen Sculpture Garden will be the place to be to hear local acts Joe Smizzy, Matt Pless, The Phoenix Within, Kuf Knotz, and Chillionaires.

OktoBEARfest at the Philadelphia Zoo: This Saturday from 5 pm-8:30 pm, the Philadelphia Zoo will be hosting an OktoBEARfest beer festival. There will be over 100 beers, 10 food trucks, live music, yard games, relay races, trivia, and more.

The Afterparty: Drake’s tour DJ, DJ Spade, will be taking over NOTO Philadelphia this Saturday night. The party begins at 10 pm at this massive concert and nightlife venue.

Migos Afterparty: This Sunday night, Migos will be taking over the same venue to host their official tour afterparty. The closing night of this double-header concert will bring all the celebs about to NOTO Philadelphia. The party will be hosted by Martell.
