1. Closing Soon: Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month is coming to an end this Sunday. Through the month of March, there have been various celebrations, discussions, entertainment, and events orbiting women’s lives on a daily basis. Don’t miss your chance to participate in some amazing endeavors before the month closes out.

2. Closing Soon: Women’s Mobile Museum 

Where:  PAFA, 118-128 N. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, March 31st

The Women’s Mobile Museum was “a year-long collaboration between Zanele Muholi, Lindeka Qampi, and ten Philadelphia women”. The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center’s partnership with PAFA has resulted in this traveling exhibition which explores representation, remembrance, and identity. Stop by the exhibition before its too late.

3. Closing Soon: Rina Banerjee: Make Me a Summary of the World

Where: PAFA, 118-128 N. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, March 31st

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) has been featuring Rina Banerjee: Make Me a Summary of the World since October 2018. Banjeree has “core practices of assembling, sculpting and printing artworks that make visible the transnational movements of people.” Stop by this great institution before Sunday to see these intricate works.

4. Closing Soon: Miss Saigon 

Where: Academy of Music, 240 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, March 31st

The songs “Last Night of the World”, “The Movie in My Mind”, “The Heat is On in Saigon”, and others have been ricocheting through the Academy of music for over a week.  The beloved musical Miss Saigon will be closing its run in the City of Brotherly Love this Sunday.

5. Philly PHLASH Downtown Loop Returns

This week the Philadelphia PHLASH Downtown Loop returns. On Thursday, March 28th rides will be free. Regularly, the loop stops at hotspots such as the Philadelphia Zoo, Reading Terminal Market, Shops at Liberty Place, Barnes Foundation and much every 15 minutes, from 10 am–6 pm

6. Philly Celebrates Jazz

Philadelphia is one of the signature cities that merges art, music, culture, fashion, and entertainment seamlessly. Now through the entire month of April, the city will be hosting several events celebrating the wonderful genre of Jazz. There will be live performances, discussions, parties and several social gatherings. The kickoff begins this Thursday, March 28th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm at City Hall. RSVP Now!

7. Philly Wine Week

Various locations in Philadelphia will be shelling out the best in glorious wines from the area and around the world. There will be an Opening Corks celebration at the Bellvue Hotel on Sunday. There will be tasting challenges, wine week happy hours, and more all week long.

8. qFLIX Philadelphia

qFLIX Philadelphia has taken over the city for over a week. The film festival celebrates and puts work reflecting the lives of LGBTQ community front and center. There are countless film screenings, Q&A sessions, discussions, awards, and more through at this annual event.

9. Monumental Cloth, The Flag We Should Know

Sonya Clark: Monumental Cloth, The Flag We Should Know Opens March 29, 2019

Where: The Fabric Workshop and Museum, 1214 Arch St.
When: Friday, March 29th (reception), 6PM-8 PM and Runs through – Sunday, August 4th (exhibition)

The Fabric Workshop and Museum opens a new historically entrenched exhibition this week titled Monumental Cloth, The Flag We Should Know. The Civil War navigating exhibition “explores the legacy of symbols and challenges the power of propaganda, erasures, and omissions”.

10. Nickelodeon’s Double Dare Live

Where: Merriam Theater, 250 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Friday, March 29

The Merriam Theater is hosting my childhood dream this week. Nickelodeon’s Double Dare Live is a wildly interactive and highly exciting show. Double Dare legend himself, and Philadelphia resident, Marc Summers will be on stage ready to set up the soaking, drenching, and insane activities.

11. Punch Line Philly Weekend 

Skeet Carter Presents: Love Me Some Comedy!

Where: Punch Line Philly, 33 E. Laurel St.
When: Runs through Sunday, March 31st

This weekend, stop by Punch Line Philly for a great ensemble of comedians, performers, drinks, and gut-busting fun. Stand up act Justin Hires will be onstage through Saturday night. There will be a Drag Diva Brunch this Saturday. Sunday is Love Me Some Comedy night hosted by Skeet Carter and starring Melanie Comarcho.

12. Good Good Comedy Theatre Weekend

Make Up or Break Up

Where: Good Good Comedy Theatre, 215 N. 11th St.
When: Runs through Sunday, March 31st

Good Good Comedy Theatre is another laugh house serving up jokes, entertainment, and a good time this weekend. From Weeding Out the Stoned to Make Up or Break Up, there are some hilarious nights awaiting you at any of these events.

13. Earl Sweatshirt 

Thebe Kgositsile Pres: FIRE IT UP! A tour w/ Earl Sweatshirt & Friends

Where: Theatre of Living Arts, 334 South St.
When: Friday, March 29th, 8PM

Earl Sweatshirt is the first of a pair of concerts on this list in sold out territory. It’s time to hit up verified resales or that friend with a connect in order to see this Los Angeles based rapper, songwriter, and producer.

14. Gary Clark Jr.

Where: The Met Philadelphia, 858 N. Broad St.
When: Friday, March 29th, 8:30PM

The Met Philadelphia will be hosting Gary Clark Jr. and the Peterson Brothers this Friday night. The Blues, Rock, and Soul act recently released his fifth solo studio album titled This Land. The “Please Come Home” and “Ain’t Messin Round” will not disappoint.

15. Kiss

When: Friday, March 29th, 7:30PM

The Kiss End of the Road World Tour makes its Philadelphia stop this Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will be playing their best hits from their incredible catalog all night long.

16. Spring Blooms at Longwood Gardens

Starting this Saturday, Longwood Gardens will be blossoming with gorgeous flowers and arrangments. Spring Blossoms. the landscape will be filled with a blend of beautiful colors through the horizon. This phenomenal garden is a can’t miss.

17. Cherry Street Pier

Where: Cherry Street Pier, 121 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd.
When: Saturday, March 30th and Sunday, March 31st

The cultural, art, and social hub Cherry Street Pier will be opening its doors for two special events this weekend.  This Saturday will be the Indoor Antique & Vintage Market. On Sunday, stop by for the Art Star Pop Up Market

18. Nowruz Festival

When: Saturday, March 30th, 1PM-8PM

Penn Museum will be hosting a Nowruz Festival this Saturday afternoon. Nowruz, or “new day” in Persian, is an ancient festival marking the beginning of spring. There will be ” cultural performances, art-making, tours, storytelling, workshops, and a Persian bazaar.”

19. UFC Fight Night

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Where: Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St.
When: Saturday, March 30th, 3:30PM

Live MMA will be on the menu this Saturday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center.  The lightweight battle between Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje will be the main attraction. However, there are several other undercard warriors ready to duel it out in the octagon.

20. Dane Cook

Dane Cook

Where: The Met Philadelphia, 858 N. Broad St.
When: Saturday, March 30th, 7PM

Actor and comedian Dane Cook will be performing at the newly-renovated The Met Philadelphia this Saturday night. The stand-up, film and television entertainer’s career is full of success in several different areas. This Saturday his Tell It Like It Is Show welcomes him back to the comedy spotlight.

21. The Millennium Tour

Where: Liacouras Center, 1776 N Broad St.
When: Saturday, March 30th, 7:30PM

Multi-platinum R&B group B2K (Omarion, Boog, Fizz, and Raz-B) will be taking over the Liacouras Center this Saturday night. The Millennium Tour also features R&B hitmaker Mario, Pretty Ricky, Lloyd, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy, and Bobby V. This will be a nostalgia tour for the ages.

22. Maggie Rogers

WXPN Welcomes Maggie Rogers

Where: The Fillmore Philadelphia, 29 E. Allen St.
When: Saturday, March 30th, 8 PM

This is the second of the pair of sold-out shows on this list. The same go beg, barter, and steal rules still apply. Maggie Rogers will be performing at The Fillmore Philadelphia this Saturday night. The pop singer-songwriter released her first studio album earlier this year. She recently opened for Grammy-winning group Mumford & Sons. This talented performer will be one of the main attractions in the city this weekend.

23. Graffiti & Ornament

Where: The Woodlands, 4000 Woodland Ave.
When: Sunday, March 31st, 1PM-4PM (opening reception) and Runs through Sunday, April 28th (exhibition)

The exhibition Graffiti & Ornament features artists Roberto Lugo and Leo Tecosky. The pair was tasked with making “site-responsive” and specific at The Woodlands’ historic Hamilton Mansion in West Philadelphia. Their work shines with true glimmers of graffiti and hip-hop culture.

24. Rangers vs. Flyers

When: Sunday, March 31st, 12:30PM

This will be the second-to-last home game for the Philadelphia Flyers this season. The team will be taking on the New York Rangers this Sunday afternoon. Come to the Wells Fargo Center for all the action, excitement, and adrenaline.
