Jim Gardner is forever a legend in Philadelphia, and he showed why that will always be the case on Thursday night.
In case you haven’t heard, the Sixers traded Ben Simmons and others for James Harden and other earlier today. That was the big story on Action News tonight, as Gardner used it as a lead-in to the 6 p.m. broadcast:
“The man who refused to make a layup and then refused to play a season is now a Brooklyn Net. And one of the NBA’s best shooters … EVER … is now a Philadelphia 76er.”
