The best Phillies and Mets TV and radio calls from last night’s game

Monday night saw an exciting early season come-from-behind win at Citizens Bank Park, as the Phillies scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and Brad Hand sealed the deal in the ninth to give the Phillies a 5-4 win against their NL East rival New York Mets.

Of course, it wasn’t a particularly exciting game until the bottom of the eighth, and that’s where I collected some of the best TV and radio calls from the Phillies’ side and the Mets’ side. Let’s enjoy:

Phillies TV

Phillies Radio

Phillies Spanish

Mets TV

Mets radio

Also, I was the first one to post what I thought Alec Bohm had said after the Phillies fans sarcastically cheered for him after making a play in the field last night, and it turns out I was right. Bohm admitted he did say what we mostly all thought he said, and that’s actually going to endear him to this fan base, as it should. He said it. He owned it.

I thought it was funny at first, and then a bunch of fans got in their feelings about it thinking we were trying to drag him down further. Which is something I just don’t do. Unless you’re Ben Simmons.

Anyway, kudos to Bohm for owning it. Major respect. Now let’s go win a title.
