A lot of Eagles content gets published each day, so here’s a recap of your Eagles news from this past week.
This is the worst time of year for an Eagles reporter, that six-week gap between the end of mandatory mini camps and training camp is brutal.
So no, there really wasn’t that much news this week, which was cool because all of the attention was focused on the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons. I really should’ve called this post Catching up with the Sixers because Simmons obviously dominated the Philly Influencer content this week.
You’ve got to love the NBA Lottery and Draft, the one time of year the Sixers are relevant. But this feels different because just like Carson Wentz, Simmons is another one of Philadelphia’s bright and shiny new toys. Maybe Sixers fans will tune in throughout the upcoming season instead of tuning out after the first couple of games.
I can’t wait for him to snatch defensive rebounds, gracefully glide down the floor like a thoroughbred and either finish the fastbreak himself or find a teammate to do it. I can’t wait for him to get in the post and hit the open man with one of his signature one-touch passes. I can’t wait for him to develop a consistent jumper so he can become nearly impossible to guard. It’s going to be a special next couple of years for Sixers fans.
Welcome to Philly, Ben.

The coolest Eagles story this week was Jon Dorenbos’ killer magic performance on America’s Got Talent. He blew the judges away, check out his routine here.
The Nelson Agholor sexual assault case is now in the hands of District Attorney Seth Williams, according to a report by Philadelphia Magazine. Agholor was accused of raping a dancer at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club on June 9th at around 3:00 P.M. Agholor, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and defensive end Connor Barwin visited the club after the Eagles had wrapped up their final mandatory mini camp practice.
Eagles vice president of football operations Howie Roseman appeared on the WIP Morning Show this week to discuss the quarterback situation. He’s very excited about the trio of Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz. Fletcher Cox also made a radio appearance this week, sitting down with Alex Marvez and Kirk Morrison of SiriusXM NFL Radio.
ESPN’s Bill Barnwell isn’t a fan of the Eagles’ triplets, check out where he ranked them.
Since there wasn’t much Eagles news, let me provide you all of the links to my Doug Pederson play calling series. If you want to know about all of his tendencies and personnel packages, give these a read.
