Catching up with the Birds

A lot of Eagles content gets published each day, so here’s a recap of your Eagles news from this past week.

I don’t even think an hour passed.

Not even a god damn hour!

And then it started again.

After I posted the blockbuster Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams trade, one of Philly Influencer’s own, Anthony Pinto, joked and left the following comment on my Facebook, “Let the #2 rumors begin!!!” Then I saw the Ian Rapoport tweet about the Philadelphia Eagles possibly being interested in trading up to No. 2.

Palm to the face!

I can’t wait until the NFL Draft finally arrives, not only because Philly Influencer and Bleeding Green Nation are going to throw the best damn Draft Party in the history of the universe, but we can finally put these trade rumors to rest.

I better see you at Nick’s Roast Beef on the 28th!

On to the links:

Speaking of that blockbuster trade with the Titans and Rams, here are the details. And yes, here’s the trade rumor story about the Eagles possibly moving up to No. 2. It appears that the Rams might be leaving toward drafting California’s Jared Goff and if that’s the case, Philly might be in play of of getting the second pick because Doug Pederson “loves” Carson Wentz. The Rams set the market, what type of offer would it take to swap with the Cleveland Browns at No. 2?

In one of those unofficial holidays, the Eagles released their schedule for the 2016 NFL season and Nick Piccone delved into it a bit deeper. If you want to ask me what my prediction for the season will be, don’t, let’s let the draft play itself out first.

If the Eagles do stay at No. 8, it appears that Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott might be the pick and if he is, what does that mean for Ryan Mathews?

I began a column this week about Doug Pederson’s play-calling ability while in Kansas City. He called plays during the second half of the final 10 regular season and two playoff games. Here’s the first installment of that series and the Chiefs’ win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
