The Phillies home opener is today. Come to our tailgate. They’ve won two games in a row! The Flyers are in the playoffs. They’ll play the Capitals in the first round. The Sixers are directionless without Sam Hinkie. Who’da thunk it?
And the Villanova Wildcats are NCAA National Champions! How sweet it is. Here’s everything you need to see and hear from Friday’s parade for the Wildcats in Center City.

Come to our Eagles draft party, thrown by Philly Influencer and Bleeding Green Nation, on April 28th at Nick’s Roast Beef on Cottman Ave.
Playoffs.
The Flyers like making the playoffs.
Our Eagles writer, Adrian Fedkiw, did a fantastic job grading Doug Pederson’s playcalling during Week 7’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past season when he was the offensive coordinator with the Kansas City Chiefs. Want to get a sense of how Pederson’s offense was run? Adrian takes you behind the playbook into his own notebook to show you the good, the bad and the ugly. Great stuff.
The Sixers are a mess. They introduced Bryan Colangelo as their new general manager yesterday, and now his daddy has stepped down from his previous post as chairman of basketball operations. Daddy’s job is done. His son is now heading the Sixers. Welcome back to mediocrity once B. Colangelo’s fingerprints get all over this.
Joel Embiid was at the ‘Nova parade on Friday.
She said yes! To a Penguins fan.
I love teams cheering on other teams in the city. That’s what the Wildcats did at the Flyers game against the Penguins on Saturday.
Former Saints defensive end, Will Smith, was shot to death in a road rage incident over the weekend. This asshole pulled the trigger.
Tyrann Mathieu knew the suspect, and wrote the following on Twitter:
I know that dude, he been a hating ass coward,” Mathieu wrote. “Never knew he’d grow up to be a killer tho…. May you get what you deserve coward.
Until y’all get them crooks out of office and until y’all give these kids something constructive to do, the violence will continue to grow!” Mathieu wrote. “They can’t go to parks like I was able to, because the grass ain’t cut & the rims have no nets nor do they even have rims. The budgets cutting into education, recreation and everything else that is VITAL to a kid having success. Not to mention half of their fathers are in prison. So this isn’t coming from an angry place but from a person who has made it out! All they have is music to influence them, and if you listen closely to music now a days, it’s brainwashing them to believe drugs and killing are the cool thing to do which is why I’m dropping an album… Cause that s–t ain’t cool, cool is being a father and being able to provide. Cool is facing adversity and having GOD having a place in your heart and world. Cool is handling things like men not like cowards. I’m at peace… I’m going to church to pray for all y’all.”
Nick Foles may be out in Los Angeles.
Greg Cosell, who said Rodney McLeod isn’t far from Earl Thomas, thinks Carson Wentz, who the Eagles are “in love” with, is better than any of the quarterbacks who came out of the 2015 draft.
Nerlens Noel is getting sued for trashing a beach house.
Pablo Sandoval’s belt broke during a swing.

Dave Hakstol’s old college team won the national championship on Saturday night, hours after his NHL team clinched a playoff berth. “It really caps off my night, let’s put it that way,” Hakstol said, via College Hockey News.
The Red Wings’ Pavel Datsyuk is retiring from the NHL after the playoffs and going back to Russia.
Maybe that’s why Datsyuk is leaving… wouldn’t blame him.
The Masters took place this weekend. Jordan Spieth melted down on the 12th hole on Sunday.

Danny Willett won the Masters after Spieth’s meltdown, but his brother, PJ, took some of the headlines away from him with his Live Tweets during and after his brother’s triumph.

It was a sad day for Spieth.

Spieth almost fell over before slipping the green jacket on Danny Willlett. Then didn't congratulate him. Painful. pic.twitter.com/EPUi1hmDHp

There were actually Twitter arguments going on about how Spieth handled losing like a champ and Cam Newton could learn from him. I’m not going into any of that here because it’s all complete bullshit.
You can’t impregnate your own players, dude. That’s gross.
Johnny Manziel now lives with Von Miller.
Bruce Arians sounds really dumb. Like… reeeeeally dumb. Can someone tell him to just shut up? And before you say it, no, he’s not right. Maybe watch some television or listen to some radio interviews once in a while and you’ll see that he’s not right.
Braves pitcher Dan Winkler fractured his right elbow throwing this pitch:

Manny Pacquiao defeated Timothy Bradley, Jr. this past weekend in what many people believe to be his last boxing match of his career. There are also many people who believe it isn’t.
He’s torn,” said Arum, who promoted Pacquiao’s decision victory over Timothy Bradley Jr. on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden and has the rights to any Pacquiao fights through 2017. “His wife wants him to retire. He’s running for office, and if he wins, which he will, there will be tremendous responsibilities that go with it.”
“However,” Arum added, “a big payday is something he might require in the near future.”
