Man, I feel bad for Chip Kelly. But then, I remember what he did with the Eagles last season – and yes, we should all remember what he did last season because he was in full control – and then I stop feeling bad for him. Unfortunately for 49ers fans, they’re now feeling the wrath of Chip. The 49ers are heading into their bye week with a 1-6 record, with six straight losses, and many fans [and reporters] questioning their head coach.
After yesterday’s loss against the Buccaneers, Chip was asked if he’s considering a coaching change – namely defensive coordinator Jim O’Neil – and whether he actually spends time with him during the week. Sounds like the beats down in San Francisco think Chip doesn’t know a lick about defense. [Note: he actually might not.] Here’s Chip’s response:
This is going to end well over there.
