1. University City Dining Days

Where: Various locations
When: Runs through Sunday, July 22nd

The University City Dining Days are back. The culinary and discount experience offers up three-course meals at $15, $25, and $35. Several restaurants, cafes, BYOB hot spots and more in University City will be participating in this wallet-friendly menu excursion.

2. Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTA

Where: The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave. Oaks, PA
When: Runs through Sunday, August 5th

Prepare yourself for incredible acrobatic feats and soaring heights. Cirque Du Soleil Volta opens this week and will be in the region for the next few weeks.  There will be spectacualr dispays of movement, mesmerizing stunts, and so much more at these majestic shows.

3. BalletX Summer Series

Where: Wilma Theater, 265 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, July 22nd

BalletX is kicking off its sumer series this week. Come to the Wilma Theater to see some stunning choreography by some tremendous pefromers.  Three great choreoraphers have put together dyanmic productions full of rythmn, alluring movement, drama, and more.

4. Ron Funches

Where: Punch Line Philly, 33 E. Laurel St.
When: Shows through Saturday, July 14th

Comedian and actor Ron Funches will be doing a multi-night set at Punch Line Philly this week.He’s been featured in NBC’s Powerless, Comedy Central’s Drunk History, ABC’s Black-ish, and several otehr productions. Come see this act with tremendous timing and raw commentary any night over the next few days.

5. Taylor Swift 

Where: Lincoln Financial Field, 1 Lincoln Financial Field Way
When: Friday, July 13th and Saturday, July 14th

Global superstar Taylor Swift will be bringing her massive Reputation Tour to Philadelphia for to consecutive nights. Supporting her 2017 release Repuation, the stadium tour will be full of tracks that made the album a top-seller and her former hits.

6. Van’s Warped Tour

Where: BB&T Pavilion, 1 Harbour Blvd. Camden, NJ
When: Friday, July 13th, 11AM

The Vans Warped Tour will be serenading fans from the last time. Come say so long to the massive countrywide tour that features 3OH!3, Bowling For Soup, Yungblud, We The Kings, and so many others. This alternative rock blowout will be a day-long event.

7. Lauryn Hill

Where: Festival Pier, 601 N Christopher Columbus Blvd.
When: Friday, July 13th, 6PM

Celebrating the 20 year anniversary of the seminal classic The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Lauryn Hill will be bringing this amazing tour to the Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing ths Friday night. Accommanied by M.IA., Busta Rhymes, and others, this is  a show that you don’t want to miss.

8. Bastille Day

Where: Eastern State Penitentiary, 2027 Fairmount Ave.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 10AM

After 24 years, Eastern Penitentiary will For the final time, the Eastern State Penitentiary will be hosting Bastille Day.  The Bearded Ladies  will be putting on a show, Tastykakes will come down from the heavens, and more as they send Marie Antoinette off.

9. Bluegrass and Blueberries Festival

Where: Peddler’s Village, 2400 Street Rd.  New Hope, PA
When: Saturday, July 14-Sunday, July 15th

The Bluegrass and Blueberries Festival will be taking over Peddler’s Village this weekend. From 10 am-8 pm on Saturday and 10 am- 6 pm on Sunday, this music festival will have something for the entire family. There will be over 30 vendors on the location and 60 musicians hitting the stage.

10. Macy’s Family Fun Day

Where: African American Museum in Philadelphia, 701 Arch St.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 11AM – 3PM

This Saturday, bring all your loved ones out to the African American Museum for Macy’s Family Fun Day. There will be a drumming workshop, hat making, dance fit, performances and more at this free event for all ages.

11. Pizzadelphia Pizza Festival

Where: The Navy Yard, 4747 S. Broad St.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 12PM- 5:30PM

This Saturday several great pizza connoisseurs, restaurateurs, and chefs are ascending on the   the region to celebrate at this one-of-a-kind pizza festival. the Navy Yard will be full of piza demos, live music spun by DJs, drinks, games, and more.

12. Bring It! Live

Where: Merriam Theater, 250 S. Broad St.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 3PM & 8PM

The Lifetime hit series Bring It! will be front and center at the Merriam Theater this Saturday. Last year Miss D and her Dancing Dolls had a sold-out nationwide tour. This weekend they return to Philly with new routines and choreography.

13. 40th Street Summer Series

Where: 40th St. and Walnut St.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 6PM

The 40th Street Summer Series offers up fantastic live music each month. This Saturday Las Cafeteras with Philadelphia Women’s Slavic Ensemble will be featured act. Come out for this festivity of joy, music, and togetherness which will have food and drinks for sale.

14. TheGet Up Kids

Where: Theatre of The Living Arts, 334 South St.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 8:30PM

Kansas City rock band The Get Up Kids will be putting on a show at the Theatre of The Living Arts this Saturday night. After touring with acts like Weezer and Greenday, the indie band took to the headlining sphere. They’ll be live at the TLA performing tracks from On The Wire, Guilt Show, and more.

15. Patti Harrison, Catherine Cohen, and Sarah Squirm

Where: Good Good Comedy Theatre, 215 N 11th St.
When: Saturday, July 14th, 7PM & 8:30PM

This Saturday night Patti Harrison, Catherine Cohen, and Sarah Squirm will be at Good Good Comedy Theatre for two shows. The latter show is sold out but you still have a chance to come early to check out these The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and Helltrap Nightmare acts.

16. Kevin Hart

Where: BB&T Pavilion, BB&T Pavilion, 1 Harbour Blvd. Camden, NJ
When: Saturday, July 14th, 8PM

Philly’s native son Kevin Hart makes his return to the area for The Irresponsible Tour this Saturday night. Come across the river to the Camden Waterfront to hear all the jokes and stories from this top name in comedy.

17. World Cup Block Party at Brauhaus Schmitz

Where: Brauhaus Schmitz, 718 South St.
When: Sunday, July 15th, 10AM-5PM

This Sunday Brauhaus Schmitz will be hosting a FIFA World Cup Final viewing party. There will be a 20-foot screen, a beer garden, games, food, and more. This massive soccer soiree will be packed with enthusiastic fans cheering on their favorite clubs. The event is free to enter.

18. Nuevofest

Where: World Cafe Live Philadelphia, 3025 Walnut St.
When: Sunday, July 15th, 4PM-10PM

WXPN presents Nuevofest 2018. World Cafe Live will be brimming with the rhytmic sounds of of seven fantastic Latin American acts. This is an all-ages event that will have plenty of sizzling sounds, food, drinks, and an amazin inclusive atmosphere.
