The Philadelphia Flyers are just two days away from kicking off its 2023-24 preseason camp and we now know who will be part of the current roster in John Tortorella’s squad.
Travis Konecny, Carter Hart, and Sean Couturier headline the returning players in the 57-man squad for training camp, the Flyers announced Tuesday. Marc Staal and Garnet Hathaway are two of several new faces that the Flyers acquired this summer that will also be part of the training camp roster.
Wade Allison and Morgan Frost are two standouts from the 2022-23 campaign that will return once again for the Flyers.
Training camp will officially begin at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey on Thursday, September 21. The players will be sorted into three teams for the first four days, featuring on-ice and off-ice sessions. Friday-Sunday’s schedule will feature scrimmages.
The Flyers will begin their 2023 preseason schedule with a game against the New Jersey Devils on Monday, Sept. 25. They will have six preseason games before opening the 2023 regular season on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 12.
